Yes, there are genre's within genre's it would seem and it's definitely the case with gokkun too. I love the willing, enthusiastic, and eager, but also am turned off at a certain point if it seems to be fake or coached too much, or even scripted even though obviously we know it's scripted.

Anyway, I keep hoping to see a trailer at some point in the near future of our new gokkun queen's exploits. Not meant to be negative, but I just can't see her doing as great of a job as Mika Osawa did- no matter how many loads she ends up swallowing. I've been watching that one off and on lately in anticipation of this latest title and it's just a classic in every way. I really hope I'm wrong and she takes load after load like a champ- as good or better than Mika did.

Lack of subtitle availability is likely a purely financial decision. Would subtitles open up a new market for Japanese titles? If yes, how much of one? If no, then obviously not going to happen. How does mandated censorship factor into this question? Will consumers from other countries start purchasing Japanese titles if they are subtitled but still censored?

You could even make the argument it might make more sense for them to consider subtitles in Mandarin and Canto - overall probably a much larger market for their product than the US or Europe.

Investment is required to develop a solid picture of any of these ideas, as subtitling is an expensive process, even with programs that handle most of the heavy work.

My take on this is it is not so much about excluding others from enjoying the titles in their native language, it is more based on the estimated returns (or lack thereof) from including subtitles.

I personally enjoy Japanese titles without subtitles, and while I think subtitles would be cool, I don't really watch them for the conversation.

Being a Gaijin myself, never felt anything resembling disdain in my several trips to Japan. While I have heard that and read about it, I just can't relate to it at all. The idea that we are outsiders and that we might be treated as such in some respects is kind of logical though. However, you did specifically ask for a Japanese view on this, so I hope you don't mind me including my thoughts on the topic, as I thought your topic was an interesting one.

Trust me, dialogues in JAVs are not worth it (most of the time) just as is not worth listening to western porn dialogues in general.
You are not missing much, and generally they always say the same stuff over and over, "you want it?" "no no no" "this is embarrassing" "I don't want it" "I'm coming", and "normal" dialogues are ridiculous or nonsensical 90% of the time.
Even when you see a jav that actually has some plot or is plot driven like 16ID-048 (clonnad) fate stay night (cant remember the id), there is one of fatal frame 2, and so on... there is not much to it either.
In gokkun or bukkake, all you hear is:

"it tastes great/ it's really tasty (while she makes a disgusting face)"
"it tastes bitter/sweet/sour " <-- the most common is sour or "sweet",
"it's sticky" (said in many different ways)
"oh it's hot/lukewarm"
"oh it's really thick"
"oh great"

And from the guys:

Thank you for writing this up, it was both informative and hilarious. I was dying when I read "it tastes great/ it's really tasty (while she makes a disgusting face)" LOL. You will LOVE Japan. Message me if you want specific suggestions (I don't want to talk too much off topic here in the Gokkun thread), I cannot say enough about my time there. Have traveled extensively my whole life and Japan is tops in every way.

I too would love if at least some of the titles were subbed, as I have great admiration for the amount of creative effort put into situations and story lines by some JAV studios.

There are some gracious individuals who add subtitles just to contribute to our community, so you can search title by title for them (There is a thread somewhere that deals with them too). Only problem is if you buy your titles on R18 or elsewhere, you would have to then find an unofficial (and likely lower quality) copy to download and use the subs with.

Any news on when the record breaking gokkun of Misono Waka will be released? Its been a month since the shooting and I haven't seen a trailer or even a cover anywhere... Iam really looking forward to it since it is directed by Kirin.
