True, Faleno's VRs are not very good. That's why I say this looks like an attempt at a VR revival: top actress, 145 minutes, all kinds of scenes and positions, a competent director with experience.... Let's hope it sells.

They even seem to have persuaded Kami Anna to come out of retirement and make a VR title too

I'm just waiting for them to persuade their newcomers to dip their toes into VR. Notably Hanamori Kaho. Look at this girl, she'll be amazing in VR.

I thought their recent releases were pretty good. KAVR-418, KAVR-413, KAVR-412 and KAVR-402 are some good scenes with cute girls i can recommend.

I don't like the latest Kawaii movies. 80% of them are threesomes and harems with costumes, which I don't like. And the rest are all clothes and masks.... The only one I liked is KAVR-418. I know I have very specific tastes but.... You don't choose your tastes...

When I say that I don´t see kawaii girls in Kawaii anymore I mean those virtual girlfriend VRs with solo girls. Its latest movies with solo girls are all in masks or clothes for most of the movie. I would have loved two movies with KAVR-402 actresses separately....

Hey, I've been lurking this thread for prob a year now. I just wanted to say I highly recommend trying out stashapp + stash-vr. I have both of these docker containers running on my NAS and access the webpage within Heresphere. I'm sure you already know but you can filter by tags, actress name, studio, etc within heresphere with stash.

But the best feature IMO with stash in general is stashdb. stashdb is basically a community ran database with scene fingerprints (OHASH + PHASH). TLDR when you scan new videos in stash, if there's an entry for the scene in stashdb it'll match the actress, tags, thumbnail, description, basically all the info to the video. It makes it very easy to organize your collection so you can filter it. The more fingerprints a scene has, the more accurate the match is. It's nice in that community aspect.

Much better than manually scraping every scene. You can request edit permissions to create scenes if they don't exist.

I've probably added and edited about 900 VR scenes at this point to stashdb. Usually VR scenes are multi-part, but I merge them using ffmpeg and create the new entry with just one OHASH +PHASH for the full video. Once it's accepted, and if I have the chance, ill scan the individual parts and add them to the database for that scene. So for example a 3 part scene would have one hash for the full video + 1 hash for A, B, and C.

I tried XBVR for a bit when I was trying both, but stash is just too good. And there's much more stuff you can do with stash with plugins

Hi waterenjoyer, welcome to the thread.... Thanks for the info, it's very interesting. My collection is a real chaos, so someday I will have to do some of this, but I have it separated in 5 or 6 HDD, I have thousands of titles and single scenes, and I'm lazy.... It would take me a long time.

Hi, I've been lurking for quite a while too now and have to agree with waterenjoyer. You can simply point your folders across multiple hard drives to stash and it will scan them all and identify any it can find. Though I find stashdb to be lacking as a source for identifying JAVs, I usually have better luck with the optional "R18.dev" community scraper as it has all but the absolute newest scenes.

I've been using stash + stash-vr for my quest 2 for a while now, only ever issue was when R18.dev added cloudflare protection for which there is workarounds. Any time I download new scenes I simply run the scan and identify tasks on stash and I can easily find/filter by tags on heresphere.

Definitely worth giving a shot

Gyaru subculture have been around since at least 80's, it's really nothing new. It's all about an extroverted, bubbly personality and looks that fit the part. It's by definition inspired by "the west", that much is true. Few girls performing today pull it off well, I think Alice Otsu is one of the best. Stash is actually quite robust. You shouldn't get an error using stash if you scanned scenes in and removed your hard drives. But you would encounter issues if you scanned scenes in, removed your hard-drive, then later reattached it and it got assigned a different letter drive (I'm assuming you use windows but on linux would be the same issue) and then you tried to play a video. Just browsing stash after scanning scenes though shouldn't give you any errors.

But the nice thing is, you don't have to copy or go super organized with your folder structure. Once a scene has an ID attached to it, it just gets matched to the database.

Everything is automatic now. You just have to scan the scenes. Once they're matched, the filters organize everything for you and you can use them within Heresphere. The only requirement for this to work is that you have to add a "JAV" tag to each performer within stash, but that's a one-time thing.

Not really, well I would like to see more of her of course but on the other hand we are blessed with a few quality releases so I can't complain. I also have to say that I appreciate SIVR-382 more as time goes by (came out 6 months ago).

It slowly becomes one of my all-time favorites. It has great angles and they don't rush it. Perfect acting from Yumeno with all her expierence and they give her all the time she needs. I like the theme when the girl plays herself and reveals something about her, even though of course it's more about her JAV personality... anyways. In this case she is playing with her comeback to JAV and for example asks you with a straight face if she is still attractive enough... Oscar worthy for sure . I wish more releases would include something 'real' about the actress and blend fiction and reality. In 2025 only Madonna delivers something of this nature from time to time and also VRKM-1485 comes to mind. It should be used more often. After all the script would write itself with an experienced actress.

Besides that she has a few decent 4k VRs that I will upscale with Topaz.

True, it's different when there is already some VR of the actress you like. I love SIVR-382 too, it's a joy.
Although it annoys me, that's why I didn't complain when I added Yumeno's new VR. When they alternate releases that you like with others that you don't, you have to respect it. The problem is when they don't alternate...
What is hard for me is what we have talked about in other occasions: a Yumeno's VR every six months... I don't like this one, so to wait 6 months... They should shoot a VR with each actress at least every 3 months....

When the 8K format was launched in mid-2023, S1 and Moodyz released several VRs where in the first few minutes they interviewed the actress and she told things about her tastes, experiences, etc. It was funny.

Amatsuka Moe debuts in VR!!!! With a 145-minute film, something rare nowadays. I think she was a long awaited actress in VR... @icantnomore , @enduraVR , @chewbaka you have mentioned it before.... All sexual positions, a lot of scenes with and without clothes (schoolgirl, girlfriend, even one where she plays a little dog, barking and everything while she brings you the ball). And directed by ZAMPA, who when he wants to is mega immersive.

I'm going to buy it because seeing the huge mediocrity and the law of minimum effort of KMP, Unfinished, Kawaii and the rest, at least Faleno seems to bet on VR after its previous failures, with a 145 minutes movie, good director, and many scenes for everyone. You have to support who really bet on immersive VR. And Faleno sells in A Festa without DRM and with high bitrate, so all the more reason.

I did actually try stash and I had trouble getting it to work. Mostly cos its scrapper doesn't work particularly well at least when it came to JAV VRs.

XBVR scrapes from JAVdb and JAVLibrary (preferred, but its not updated as quickly and can be inconsistent). I found it much easier configure as well.

I got lazy trying to categorize my collection after a while though. Just studio, code, and actor will do haha.

The trailer alone takes up more space than some of the full scenes of the pathetic 8K versions of Fanza... (1,7 GB).
