Discussion about DMM website

Question for non-japanese DMM users. I used a VPN to create a DMM account, successfully bought points using paypal, and bought a film. It worked, it's there on my account but when I try to download it gives me a 404 error. Am I being blocked because of the VPN? Is there any trick I can use to actually download the film that I paid for? Why would they let me use site, buy a product and then only block the download/viewing?
Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm gonna try purchasing something with points, but I can only access DMM contents with VPN.

hi, sorry if someone has already asked this question, is there any way to download the movies you have purchased from dmm.co.jp? thanks

I'm in the same situation.. I can view and purchase on the website via VPN,, but I can't stream to watch the purchase. It is most frustrating. I wish I could find a workaround as J films are my favorite. I've not watched an American film in a long time. The girls in American films just do nothing for me. So being unable to access DMM and J girls is most depressing. If anyone knows a workaround please share. I even tried a proxy server in Japan and that didn't work either. Looking for a solution.
DMs are fine.

Yeah, I figured it out for myself, at least. I learned to buy DMM points using PayPal, then purchase a title with the points, and download the movie, all while using VPN. I tried playing the movie in the DMM player, and it didn't work until I disconnected the VPN. Frankly, your success in using DMM at this point may rely on your personal variables like location, ISP, and choice of VPN, because I read some that people used VPN with success while others couldn't get it to work that way.

So until recently, DMM/Fanza worked fine with ExpressVPN. I also buy credits using PayPal. I have bought individual movies and monthly subscriptions. DRM is by-passable for both. But now the movie doesn't play in their DMM player, I have not tried disconnecting the VPN like blueredder suggests. I'm afraid my account would get tagged. But worth a shot I guess.

I haven't logged into dmm in while. I used to work fine with a vpn ut now I'm experiencing the oddest thing. I can log in fine but whenever I try to search by genre/actress etc. it just returns me to my "purchases library". Has anyone here had the same thing happen? And possibly found out how to solve it?

I only use the VPN to buy the movies as some are not available "in your region". After purchase, I don't use any VPN to watch the movies, altough I usually just stream to save the disk space.

DMM got their CloudFront set to region lock it looks like. A few months ago, the in-page preview videos no longer played at the Attackers, Moodyz, Das, Wanz, etc. company sites. For a while, the link could just be copied from the page element and pasted in a browser's address bar, but that now results in a 403 error.

iEnergy preview videos still play, but they seem to use SOD infrastructure instead.

The sample videos play fine if you're signed in to FANZA. You won't be able to actually navigate around the website from abroad, but if you have a link to a sample video (or if you're browsing a manufacturer's site that embeds the video from FANZA), it should play, at least.

That hasn't worked for me at all; even if I do sign in to my DMM/FANZA account, it'll still throw a 403 error if I access a trailer's link, and likewise embeds on sites throw up an error too. It fucking sucks that they started doing this shit.
