In the early 10's, it was the whole "exposing the new talent of their personal and real social media and out them to everyone" that really dipped and then OF came in and now hot chicks are back but not doing mainstream adult work anymore, they learn they can make it themselves.

Man... I've been consuming chinese, japanese and korean media for some years, and honestly I doubt you can tell the difference between their facial structures. The real difference (and the one they use to tell the origin country) between them is make-up and clothing.

So, I could easily have something like a mixed rating of all the races and ethnicities, and one or two Asian women will be in the top 10, but there are just so many beautiful women out there. Like, lately, I've been into Arabic women, especially Algerian. Just google them, they're gorgeous
(Okay, gotta admit, if you just google randomly, there will be a whole range, and there might be a good point to be made here: that maybe Japanese women, and Asian in general, are more eye-pleasing on average, but with other races, with the Westerners etc., the range is wider, hence the possibility of having someone who is just heavenly beautiful... or hideous... while the spectrum is not that wide and the "beauty gap" is not that drastic with Asian women. That's why a lot of Europeans are portrayed with such huge noses in anime etc. One might argue that Japan, due to its geography and history, is more about not being an eyesore, and this includes your looks: if you stand out too much, that's no good. So, Japanese beauty is "smooth", while Western beauty is more like katakana
If we speculate even further, that's why Japanese and maybe other Asian cultures are so obsessed with cuteness. Girls are cute first of all. All the words that are about the fleshy parts seem to be borrowed: セクシー for "sexy"、エロい for "erotic, alluring" etc. Which does not mean that Asian girls are not sexy. I just think that they are often more about being cute and then sexy, while in the West, you can find someone who is bombastically, "obviously" sexy but almost not cute at all, like Pamela Anderson, or Briana Banks, etc. Yes, Shiori Tsukada, for example, is also bombastic, but she's more of an exception, and she's still cute at least a little bit. Same with Kaho Shibuya etc. One could argue even further that that's why Asian transgender girls, or whatever you wanna call them, are the most feminine out there: because Asians have historically been more about the harmony, being able to live together on a relatively small area, etc. That's why they don't reek of sweat, by the way. If you didn't know, google that: Asian are genetically different in that regard, and that's why they find gaijins smelly... because compared to Asians, we are smelly. And even with that genetic makeup, the Japanese have possibly one of the most well-known bathing rituals...
To sum up, it seems that the Japanese, and maybe Asians in general, are more about not being offensive, be it in their beauty, or smell (that's why they also don't use strong scents in their perfume etc.), or anything else

Now, that's a beauty as well (and, again, she is sexy and cute). But really, if we were making a list of the most beautiful women in the world, there would just be too much competition. Keep in mind as well, that I have a thing for freckled redheads, and you can hardly find a Japanese woman like that

you gotta be kiddin. no offense but many Korean women have cosmetic surgeries. It's a huge turn off. They are taller in general, but also have weird body proportions eg big bodies but no T and A. Koreans also have wide faces, flat facial features and tiny eyes. Think Mongols. If you're into Korean AV there are many movies out there, professionally shot or amateur webcam models. We are here to discuss JAV. To each his own.

Same here. Not just in JAV but Japanese entertainment in general. Some famous actresses that I thought were natural had some work done. Though it's not on the levels of Korea. Cosmetic surgery is still stigmatized in Japan but extremely common in S.Korea. Koreans get plastic surgery like going to the dentist. They are not ashamed about it either.
Since this distinction between "beautiful" and "cute" has really stuck with me, I have now connected two more dots and realized that Hanasaki Ian is quite a beautiful woman in my eyes (i.e. more beautiful than cute)

I currently base beauty on how an AV model looks in their debut, and I tend to fall for a super cheery smile. Since I like all ages and body types, for the younger general AV model type, I follow Moodyz Fresh, SOD Youth, and Kawaii. Recently, I started viewing Moodyz Diva, S1, and SOD Star, which feature contracted girls who are generally more attractive than those who go freelance. Once I get past the cover, trailer, and debut, I decide if I'll continue following them.

Yeah, about those imperfections, I agree: I see it as one of the on-the-fence aspects of the modern Japanese culture. It's like, come on, maybe it would be better for you if you just decided what is it that you want — natural yet imperfect beauty without surgeries, or the Korean/Chinese/Western approach to beauty that so often turns people to mass-produced mannequins and lizards?
What's worse is for some reason, western women who are in their early 20s, decide to get surgeries that age them to look like 40 year old women, and it's on purpose! I don't get it. Its like they are being influence by 40 something year old women they see on reality tv trying to look young, the irony.
Yeah, that as well. You must have seen one of those viral videos with a 20-something y.o. botox girl asking others how old they think she is, and getting replies like "I dunno... 40?"
