Noooooo..... this is exactly what the Japanese producers do right, and all the Western producers get wrong. There was a guy from SLR here awhile back who claimed to be "helping" some of the Japanese producers. His complaint was that they filmed too closely.... which is just all wrong. I think it would be a huge mistake if they tried to emulate any of the Western producers. lol

I love close. I'm talking about their face or tits or whatever is past where my eye can see, or can focus. It's a thin line for me. It's sexy until I have to go cross eyed head tilted.

I've seen a few of these types of releases... but, to me, it all seemed a bit contrived. However, Japan is really hot during summer. Wait a couple months, and you'll see that a lot of the new releases will depict actresses sweating completely naturally.

It's 100% a gimmick, but a sexy one. It's 96% the model, that 4% sweat is frosting on the cake.
I watched the first part (the part I have) and it appears that the sweat is naturally occurring.

A genre that appears to be missing in VR is bukkake, I haven't been able to find a single title on R18. While it may be hard to time your release (maybe have a count down clock) but I imagine being able to "participate" or feel like you are there with VR in a hot bukkake scene would be pretty incredible. They don't give numbers, but it looks like WAAP and V1VR has them.

If you have a membership you can download WAAP ones, but I don't think you can d/l V1VR.

There are some S.O.D. ones, but they're fake... firehose equivalent cum.

Well, I bought my first videos from afesta, got most of my fetishes covered.

A butthole focused one, 2 of Rin Oga (I love her tattoos), a body encyclopedia one (featuring Rin Oga), and a lactation one.

They were 200~ish yen each, so not bad.

UNFORTUNATELY when I downloaded them, they were all corrupt videos, pixilated solid color. Tried 4k and 2k versions, and 2 different browsers. Emailed them, hopefully they can give some guidance.

I wish afestavr's selection was as good as R18s, same with searching (except R18 could use some minus filters... like, I like girls pissing but I don't need a bunch of scat videos)

Afesta's genre / search is awful. There aren't many genres in the list, and quite a few of them don't have any videos assigned to them...pregnant is the most disappointing fake-out..also, there's coprophagy, scat, AND defecation... but not like, tan-lines / dark skin.

I guess if R18 started selling 4k downloadable VR videos, that would be another solution. Especially since that's the only place I've seen the WVR6C / WVR9C videos I want.

The reason for the error (that Walle pointed out) was because they're videos that require their 4D player... which i can't get working right.

So back to being unable to get a good copy... either by purchasing or pirating.

I just got a new phone. An LG K61. I tried installing Deo VR cardboard on it and it will not play my videos anymore. It says it doesn't recognize the format. It worked just fine on my LG G7 One. What could be the problem?

I tried other VR players and they all cannot play the videos.

What do you guys use on your smartphones these days to watch VR videos?

Phone VR is dead. Android doesn't support it anymore. Buy a Quest 2, Phone VR cardboard is awful.

If you want to use it I suppose you need an old Android.

I found it hard to justify initially too, but after the first high quality JAVR video experience, there was no going back and I am fully on board with the future of porn. 2D porn just doesn't hold a candle to being able to almost feel your favourite actress lean against you and stick her tongue down your throat.

Devices are getting cheaper, while the Oculus Quest 2 discounts are hard to come by, they do pop up from time to time.
I am still on the Oculus Go waiting to upgrade to the Quest 2 or PSVR 2 when it comes out. Its not a question of "if" I upgrade, it's when.

I just got out of quarantine and have access to my Go finally! I've been downloading a ton of JAVR. Unfortunately, my Go is acting up and doesn't want to connect to my SkyBox, strange...will figure it out shortly I'm sure. In the meantime, have fun!

Couldn't go back to watching flat screen porn now. The jump in quality difference between VR porn and flat screen porn is about the same as porn in magazines Vs porn on DVD. With VR, it really does feel she is there with you. This thing could put prostitutes out of business!

I cannot help you with VR players as i dont use smartphone VR. I do know that most of the players on Android have been discontinued (DeoVR, Skybox, Pigasus..). Maybe the players from the big japanese distributers are working for you (r18, afesta) but i am not sure if they can play local videos from the device. Playa App could also be working.

What i do wanna note is that just looking at the specs, your "new" phone would be a significant downgrade because the display has a much lower resolution:
LG K61: 1080 x 2340 pixels
LG G7 One: 1440 x 3120 pixels

To be honest i have purchased vr content from R18... it was for me wasted money. Although the streaming player was better than most with zoom capability and some other features it was still useless compared to players like deo and skybox. you need to make the source files downloadable to be played anywhere on any device. why is it that you cannot just download an mp4 and play it on your oculus?

For me its one of the best pieces of software in years. With the release of the Quest2 version i was finally able to ditch Pigasus.

Having my whole library with thumbnails, tags and search function in the player is just amazing. Scraping all my movies&mathcing them with that r18 scraper in XBVR was a lot of work though.

Other than that the customizations in this player are huge, so it could be quite overwhelming. Luckily JAV are mostly alligned pretty well, so i mostly just do some general settings.

1. Set IPD
Either set it to autodetect or select the IPD manually


2. Set the IPD of the camera
Western VRporn is mostly filmed with Zcam K1/K2 so the IPD of these cameras is 65mm. Japanese studios on the other hand are using 2 cameras (Panasonic GH5S) they are aligned and synced (behind the scene can be found here

). Due to that the IPD of these cameras is bigger therefore make people appear a bit smaller in JAV.
The cameras IPD can be set in HeresSphere by setting the Camera Stereo Alignment - Right value. Its preset to 6.5.
I was trying to figure out what the correct camera IPD settings in JAV movies is. That stereo rig used has a minimum ipd of 75mm, while measuring the Panasonic GH5s by high quality photos, for this set the IPD is around 78/79mm. So i usually set the value to 7.5 and gradually increase in case it doesnt look right (.>too small).



3. Color corrections
For me having colors that look "real" do a lot to me to improve immersion. I find that most of the JAV are oversaturated with the skin look almost red. In Pigasus i was mostly reducing the saturation a lot. For me the skin color was looking much more realistic, but somehow it led to all colors looking flat.

Fortunately Heresphere allows more in depth adjustment of the colors. This screenshot is from the SteamVR release, unfortunately a lot of these adjustments are not possible on the quest.

Instead of reducing the overall saturation of the colors (Saturation A) i was playing with the 'Saturation R' value. Unfortunately i leds easily to the skins looking a little greenish. I would be happy to hear from somebody who could give me some guidance on the color settings

HereSphere is the player I use in PC VR. It it is the best. You need some time to learn the options, but it is worth it.
The only thing is that I can't get Auto Focus to work properly. When focusing when you move your head, it bothers me a little bit. I have to try to do the manual calibration.

does it have an adjustment that stops the actress turning into a cyclops when she comes in too close for the fake kiss?

It is easy: close one eye when that happens.

And yes, HereSphere, al least on PC VR, has Autofocus, to minimize problems with the double image.

With the camera close, full nudes, face to face sex scenes... This VR movie is PERFECT.

Then why have you released 120 VR movies with the camera miles away and the women with full clothes???

Please, more titles like this, Madonna. I hope some day we can enjoy this type of movie with Maki Hojo, Maki Tomoda and Shouda Chisato. We can dream...
