Kawaii released a movie with some translational movement: KAVR-099 with Mayuki Ito.
It was a decent try but it has some issues. Parts left me feeling a bit nauseous; interestingly, they were the non-sex bits (massage). It almost seemed like they were intentionally trying to show the viewer there was translational movement instead of letting it happen naturally. The other strange thing was the vertical eye line was off, like about 4-6 cm too high. My suspicion is the actor was wearing a helmet-mounted camera but the actor needed to have an unobstructed view so the camera was mounted just above his eyes.
Mayuki, no surprise, was incredibly hot and gave 100% like she always does.
There aren't many attempts at translational movement but the best so far, in my opinion is KIWVR-152 with Yurina Aizawa.
This has a hand-held camera feel but the movement isn't distracting and the male eye lines are natural (i.e. Yurina is quite short).
Sorry for geeking out on the technical aspects but I really feel moving beyond the standard, static set-ups are the next big step.

I really don't like translational movement / hand-held camera in JAV VR. I have watched some titles (KIWVR and VRVR ) and they have some problems. First, most of them cause nausea. But the bigger problem is the low image quality. Maybe are the hand-held cameras, maybe the movement and the low bitrate they use, the image quality of all this type of titles is poor.
To record movement you need more bitrate and better cameras.
Maybe for some scenes is OK, but I don't like head-held cameras as a standard for whole movies.

feel the same way. Also, most hand held camera VR are about r***, I can not enjoy r***. but I enjoy KIWVR-165 a lot, not r*** related and feel like you take more initiative. haven't watched KIWVR-152 maybe it is better
Today A Festa VR has launched this title, ETVTM-007, and it says: filmed in 8K with a new camera... 
it is very strange because I think the girls are not new.... And at Afesta it is only 4K... Do you know if in other stores there is a 8K version??

For me the best news is the return of Alice Japan...
After three months without releases I was afraid they would abandon VR like Prestige, they make the VR movies I love the most, with full nudes, nearby cameras and sitting position. But they have returned in top shape...

Just got the Quest 2 and I've been going ham on the backlog I've been missing out on since Samsung decided its phones are too good for VR. Quality is amazing!

Yeah, Kirari Sena retired two years ago (do I ever miss her) but I can't place her scene from any other video (based on the promo pics).
Yes, all the scenes are old but unreleased, it seems. I haven't seen them in any other movie. But what intrigued me it that it says it wat shot in 8K... years ago?? At A Festa VR is only available in 4K.

I have bought ETVTM-007 at A Festa VR and the scene is new. All of them. And by far, the best Kirari Sena VR video. 90 minutes... full naked all the time, the camera so close... dozens of kisses, totally awesome. And the other three scenes are very good too... 5 hours in total... Awesome image quality. One of the best JAV VR ever, if you like standard sex with sitting position.
If you are a fan of Kirari Sena, buy it inmediately!!!

I have finally saw it. Good to see Kirari Sena after this long. I still follow her on twitter her look has changed a lot. the resolution is good but this video just remind me how much VR tech has improved, VR video is not just about resolution but also color and all the perspective related stuff. Good video, but not perfect for todays standard.

I have watched AJVR-097. It is the best VR film from Shuri Atomi, in my opinion. She is fantastic in this film, more interactive than previous movies. And Alice Japan is the best in this type of JAV VR (full nudes with camera very close and sitting position). They do straight sex, don't waste time on nonsenses like most of JAV VR.
I love the preliminaries of JAV VR, the story scenes even if I don't understand a word. But sometimes they film 4 scenes and 3 of them is only touching with the same position in all of them.
Alice Japan films 2 scenes and there are 3 o 4 sex scenes with different positions. I love it. So who else feels uncomfortable seeing a JAV actress in a normal JAV scene after seeing her in VR? for me when i watch a JAV VR movie where the girl is talking to the camera for a long time that gives me the feeling that i really was spending time with her and that i know her, but then when i see a normal JAV scene where she gets r***ing by three old dudes or something i can't help but feel really uncomfortable like i feel that the girl in the scene is a normal girl i knew before and talked to and not a jav actress doing her job, i know it's silly but now i can't watch normal JAV videos of a girl if i already saw a VR scene of her

For the same reason I don't like forcing scenes in VR, even if some of them are erotic.

yeah, VR made me see these JAV girls as normal real girls, it also doesn't help that there are a lot of VR videos where the girl is treating you like her older brother or her lover or husband and being extra nice and kind for 2 or almost 3 hours straight.
I couldn't shake this guilty feeling until i saw another VR scene with the same girl but this time she was in love and smiling and laughing with a lot of warm talk and kisses for almost 3 hours, only then i was like she finally forgave me now
that reminded me of something funny, i tried this VR scene about a guy getting revenge by raping this girl in a cinema because i was curious about it, oh boy i felt soooo guilty after watching it for almost 3 days straight, she also have very good acting skills, her crying was like a real actress in a big budget film. this is the scene by the way
