I have a long time not purchasing VR from afesta but isn't their VR not having DRM? If it is still DRM free, you should be able to play them with whatever video player you like.

Well, I didn't know that A Festa doesn't use DRM. I have only downloaded samples. If they don't have DRM then problem solved, because I could use Whirligig player, my favorite... :) Posibly I'll make a purchase to try. Thanks!

The only problem is that A Festa don't have all the titles...

A Festa has videos with and without DRM. I have bought both. The video without DRM is MP4 and I can play on any PC VR player, so is perfect. But the best videos have DRM.
The video with DRM that I wanted soooo much uses the LPEG codec and only works with a terrible bad PC player called D-Player o Dimension Player. It is the worst player I have ever used. Abismal. The video is 4K Takumi but it seems 2K, even worst. The girls look like giants and there are no zoom out, only zoom in (even more giants??!!!) and there aren't any more options. It is unwatchable with this quality. So I won't buy anymore from A Festa.

If the legal stores only can offer to the users streaming with 2K or even worse quality (even f they say it is 4K, it isn't, or the player is so bad they look like 2K), and downloaded content with a player so bad that it seems I am using Google Cardboard with a cheap phone, then I can't understand how JAV VR survives...

I love VR porn, is the only porn I watch, but If the only option would be the quality that offer A Festa or R18 on PC VR, I would have abandoned VR in five minutes...

That sounds weird.
Which title are you buying? Is it an old release or a recent release? New titles should not have sizing issue or at least I didn't find any. I wonder if the problem is due to the player setting.
What is your device? Does the mp4 version with other player also has the giant issue too? If not, its probably D-Player related. I hope you can solve the problem. It sucks to pay for something that doesn't work as expected.

Of course it is the D-Player. It is crap. One title is from th last month and the other from 2019. The one with DRM is 4K Kiwami and the download is around 36 GB. The one without DRM is 4K, around 20 GB. With Dimension Player on PC both look like a bad 2K video from 2017, and the girls are giants. And you can't adjust the zoom out, the tilt, nothing. Even the controllers don't work: you need to select options with the head...

The one without DRM I can play it with other players like Skybox or Whirligig on PC VR and it is like night and day. Much more definition and the girls have normal size because I can adjust the zoom and the diameter of the image. it looks very good.

The problem is the one with DRM, it only works with Dimension player... :mad: It is unwatchable for me, blurry and giant girls, so I won't buy anymore from A Festa.

I am hoping the new HP Reverb G2 will have give us a much better experience. I use a Rift-s now for all content including 2D, and it's good, but last night I watched for a short time a HD Jav title on my 65 OLED and it was much better. It would be great to have that much detail and color in a VR glasses close-up! There is still something missing with current technology. I can't even imagine going to a cardboard or Gear Vr. Those things only exist for new people to try out VR. As I did a few years ago. But the experience was so bad, I had to upgrade ASAP.
 
Rift S has a LED screen, other glasses like Oculus Quest and Samsung Odyssey Plus have OLED screens and the colors are much better. And Rift-S has less pixels than almost ALL PC glasses. It has 1280 x 1440 per eye, and basic glasses like Lenovo Explorer that I bought for 185 euros years ago has 1440x1400 per eye... Rift S is a an insult from Oculus to the PC community. The Quest has much better hardware for the same price.

But the magic word to boost the resolution on PC VR is supersampling. What player do you use? Do you use supersampling? I don't know how to activate supersampling on Oculus, maybe within the Oculus app, or the player. With my Odyssey Plus I use 400% of supersampling via Steam VR with Skybox or Whirligig player and it is like night and day. You obtain much more definition, try it if you don't use it.

I obtain almost 1080p definition on my glasses, like watching a TV, and I am not joking. But Odyssey Plus has more resolution than Rift S (1400 x 1600 per eye).

HP Reverb G2 looks very good, could be my next glasses... :)

I have both the Quest and Rift-s. While the Quest does have better overall color, I think (in my opinion) the Rift-S is better for Porn. Better details and much less SDE. I supersample the Rift-s and Quest (with Oculus Link Cable) at 1.6. The Quest is good, and if I didn't have the Rift-S, I would say it's great. The Rift-S is sharper though. I need details in porn!
I use the Oculus Tray Tool. Its free. With this running, you can set profiles for all your apps to use various settings.
I haven't seen the Odyssey Plus, so I don't know... The thing I hate with OLED is the damn Pentile pixel configuration..the ever present SDE. Not bad once you get used to it... but still there.
 
Well, the Odyssey Plus use a technique to avoid SDE, I don't see SDE with them... :)

I am happy with the definition I obtain, by I am using 4.0 of supersampling and you are using 1.6... Or maybe 400% is 0.4 I don't know... With my GTX 1070 400% of supersampling in SteamVR if the max I can obtain.
 
I have seen than A Festa now have VR titles with english subtitles!!! :shock2: I didn't know they exist. Is it new? Has anyone tried them? Do they play with any player, or only with D-player?

The Hitomi title came in just shy of 40GB. She was worth it, but, not sure I'll do that again!
 
It is because it has a lot of scenes (8!!!) and most of them are very good. Totally worth for me. More like this!

The one thing about VR is the file size. Especially when a huge portion of the video is garbage. Also why does Filejoker exist? It is a Joke! They give you a limit per week of what 50 gigs??? A single movie is 4 to 30 gigs or so. After you reached your quota, you have to wait. What a rip-off. At least Keep2share, has a daily limit. I see a lot of movies are only on Filejoker, I guess it pays more to the uploader etc. What garbage. Rapidgator is the best (for a downloader), but their links expire so fast.

I agree that Filejoker might not be the best host out there from a subscription and downloading perspective. But, what portion of the videos do you think is garbage? Are you saying the content is garbage? Or, that the producers should be using certain techniques to reduce file sizes?

It's really interesting how varied tastes in porn can be. For instance, these things don't bother me at all. I wish we'd see more JAV VR titles featuring girls with tattoos. In real life, I've always found girls with them to be a lot more fun. Especially in Japan, where tattoos aren't really accepted in the mainstream. Girls with them tend to be somewhat rebellious/adventurous ;)

What does bother me though, is the very poor acting found in 95% of western content. I'd love to see a producer who focused on content depicting real sex.... no, not just real, but good sex. I'd like to hear real moans, see flushed skin, goosebumps, sweat, naturally wet pussies.... real orgasms. I really hope it won't be long before the technology required to produce high quality content is more accessible to amateur couples.
