Maybe.... remove unnecessary or unwanted programs and system restore points. Anyway, Sooner rather than later, you will have to buy a new and higher-capacity HDD.

How did I do it? Well, I could have followed the wise, reasoned and prudent advice of Sakuramania.Club, but instead I decided to wait until my system crashed (although it now looks like it may be a conflict of HP computers with a Windows 10 update), buy a new computer, drop one of my external HDs that I use to archive videos, and then spend a month trying to get some of the files transferred.

You can say it. I'm an idiot.
