Hi Catsy, I have tried the various file names ie: VOVS-001_180_ou.mp4, VOVS-001_180_bt.mp4 and VOVS-001_180_tb.mp4 but the image is still one image above the other. Any thoughts? have you tried any VOVS titles on PSVR?? Cheers, JD
Are you using the Littlstar app? If you're using the Littlstar app on PS4 and the sideloaded videos (videos you put on a USB stick that you plug into the PS4) aren't working properly with the filename tagging then I don't know what the problem is.
I've moved on to just using my Galaxy phone in a samsung gear VR and using the Deo VR player which lets you change the playback style in the menu.
Lovers of the bicycle riding genre are in for a treat as well!
Slight promo: I've been working with SexLikeReal.com as their JAV VR content manager.
They already have over a thousand titles from JAV makers and soon to have a lot more (met with quite a few studios the other week including the biggest names too).
There are over 300 titles not even published yet that are still being re-encoded.
The quality of JAV VR wildly varies and if you're getting it from less than legal sources, you're almost certainly getting an inferior version than even what DMM hosts (which is already quite bad).
You need top quality bitrate and resolution to watch VR right so please keep that in mind.
SLR is in the process of remastering many of the VR titles it receives from JAV makers (double FPS, fixing stereo issues, color correction, etc) and some makers that originally only sent 4K to DMM* are now sending 5K and above to SLR.
*DMM doesn't know how to deal with VR so they have stupid limitations that will cripple the industry in the long run. Also charging two prices for 'regular' version and 'hq' version is absolute idiocy as VR newbies will opt for the cheaper version, receive a poorer experience, and thus sign off on VR. Every single JAV maker we met from small to big has said that while sales were going up for awhile, they've pretty much peaked this year whereas in the west, sales are constantly rising.
I'll check back to this thread every so often if there are any issues.

As I said before, in my experience a VR film below 4K is very blurry and it breaks the inmersion. I now don't watch any film below 4K.
As mediocre games could kill games in VR, low quality VR films could kill VR porn industry...
I somewhat disagree only because when I first started into VR I didn't have a great way to watch it but I was still excited by it and enjoyed it a lot. It was when we fall victim to the classic Once you see it "the right" way you never want to go back kind of thing that we start to think differently. I get very few 4K VR if only to save on bandwidth. I may be but can't imagine the only one with that constraint, self imposed or not. So while there are always better ways to do things and experience things I would never preach to anyone there is an only way. Some only have certain resources. I'm always grateful to find things that I'm able to enjoy. And for that I also share such lower content most of the time

The problem is most JAV makers may now be releasing in 4K, but they still are doing a poor job editing it (and sometimes shooting too). This applies even to the biggest makers.
Many studios--even big ones--are out sourcing production and/or editing. Very few are doing both on their own (like 0). Sometimes they end up with great product, but most times they don't and it's hard to tell if you just look at it quickly with your phone.
I was with the SLR tech staff in Tokyo and we were going over titles w/ studios and pretty much every one had big problems compared to western output.
Part of the reason is studios still are catering to the people viewing VR on smartphones even though that method is already declining (50% and dropping in Japan, maybe 25% abroad).
Once the same users migrate to better gear, some of their favorite titles may look far from pleasant. Future-proofing is a serious issue here that we're helping the makers achieve.
If you're only watching lower quality VR, VR via smartphone, etc., you're essentially going into the world half blind. Watching well-produced titles in 4~6K size on appropriate gear is truly night and day.
BTW, the SLR app now has Viewport technology for some movies (including some JAV updates). Basically it allows viewing 5K+ on devices that normally only support 4K by having the area you see in 5K, but the surrounding areas in lower resolution. It's all done in real time and no lag when you move around.

But if you guys want to get people really excited about JAV, you need to make sure you're offering the more "unique" videos. A LOT of JAV produced lately has started to fall into the same repetitive formula that western vr porn has.
