are you asking who has made the most or which jav star collects the most?
iirc ran asakawa has made the most porn movies in the entire world.

I read that somewhere too about Ran (one of my favourite AV stars).
Also heard things like "She's working flat out before retiring" and
"She made over 100 AV's last year"
But for someone who's supposed to have made so many, remarkably few have turned up for download.

I have seen it suggested (by her production company) that Ran has made the most in a year (200+), but total all-time? I suppose it is possible, but judging from what I have seen both in stores in Japan and posted as torrents, Riko Tachibana and Hotaru Akane are working more often these days, and Rio Hamasaki seems to be in a new movie every day.

dunno. "iirc" :dunno:

yeah it might have been an old record for ran, and riko and hotaru are looking like they want to smash that record into shiofuki nakadashi oblivion :moe:

Well, here is a blast from the past.

Yet the idea is a fun one. If we are to tackle it again, I'd suggest we don't try and find the "champion" (the JAV actress who has done the most movies), because coming up with exact numbers would be a difficult thing to do. (Especially since recycled work does not count; we are only concerned about original movies.)

Why don't you give us your idea of the actresses who have been the most prolific?

I'll start. And I will start with the four actresses mentioned by our old-time members above. Yes, the very actresses who came across as strangers to me (although that's not saying much, given my pathetic ability to retain the names of JAV actresses).

Lucanaoe from above thought the best candidate (up until 2008) was:

Ran Asakawa (Yuka Shimizu)

SDDE-038 Ran Asakawa.jpg
My Own Female Teacher Pet, Vol.8. [SDDE-038]

Oh, boy, I like the way she looks. So how to find out whether she qualified, or still qualifies? Best method, I thought, was to go to her DMM filmography.

Now going to an actress' DMM filmography only gives us an idea, and is hardly conclusive... especially with actresses who were active years ago. (Let's also bear in mind that even DMM, the "holy grail" of JAV, has been known to miss listing some titles.) The obvious reason is that sometimes we have pages and pages of actresses whose compilation works are featured. Again, we are only concerned with original works.

I see Ran Asakawa got her start in 2002, and we have fourteen (14) pages of her movies. When did she quit? The last original movie I am spotting is from 2006 (on page 2, for PAR-146)... but that can't be right.

Next:

Rio Hamasaki (Erika Morishita, Erika Shinohara)

Rio Hamasaki [JUC-690].jpg
Good Wife Masochist Likes Being Scolded [JUC-690]

Based on her DMM filmography, Rio got her start in 2006 (and it looks like she kept at it until 2013), and we've got... forty-seven (47) pages!

I'd say Rio Hamasaki is a contender.

Next:

Riko Tachibana

Riko Tachibana Iesp-107.jpg
Female Teacher - Nakadashi 20 Times Consecutively [IESP-107]

Based on her DMM filmography, Riko got her start in 2004 (and it does not look like she went much past 2008), and we've got eighteen (18) pages.

Next:

Hotaru Akane (Anna Akizuki)

Hotaru Akane [IESP-330].jpg
Insurance Saleswoman Nakadashi r*** [IESP-330]

Based on her DMM filmography, Hotaru similarly appears to have gotten her start in 2004 (and it does not look like she went much past 2008, as with the case above), and we've got twenty-eight (28) pages.

Hotaru Akane [IESP-330]-Tubby.jpg

Look, 2007's IESP-330 features good old Tubby. (I want it.)

Do you know of other JAV champs? Particularly among those actresses who are more current?

Ya know, Paparoach408, even I (who is really bad at JAV's who's who) thought of Yumi Kazama as I prepared my post above. Not only because she is such a JAV fixture, but I recalled a news article I had put up about her, which detailed how long she has been around the block. ("Yumi Kazama: 15 Years in the Japanese Adult Video Industry and Still Going Strong")

I also put up, in honor of the Yumi, a thread called "Adorable Yumi Kazama."

I see from her DMM filmography that she actually got her start in 2001 (with DD-031). Yet if we are to employ arithmetic, I am noticing the news article was dated 2013, so if she had spent fifteen years in the industry until that time, that calculates to her start in 1998.

JUX-851.jpg
JUX-851, to be released later this month.

Anyway, she has eighty-three (83) pages at DMM... maybe she is the all-time champ (even though that's not our concern on this thread, I'd say... the idea here is to point to those who have made lots of movies). I'm surprised that our members from the past (at the beginning of this thread) failed to think of Yumi Kazama.

of the more modern girls(10 years or less in) I would think that the likes of Tsubomi, Yui Hatano, and Reiko Sawamura would be the most prolific?

she hold the record that the mighty Ran Asakawa and Ai Uehara can't break it

How about Rei Aoki? She's the only one I know who's transitioned from schoolgirl in the early 00s to the housewife type today. However she had "retired" twice before.

Did not know Yumi's career is so illustrious:eek:

yeah i would think Hibiki, and forgot about Haruki Sato.

I think people forget about Yumi because she's never been a major contract girl, she's been pretty much indy her whole career. so she gets passed over all the time? that's the only reason, i could think of.

I think she already start before 02, she had many JAVs before DVD era that very difficult to trace
yeah seems she debuted in 1997 as Chika Suzukawa! I wasn't even 5 when she debuted!

edit: i'm going to try and track down her debut video, working links on that page http://www.javlibrary.com/en/?v=javliorqrm

I am impressed Paparoach408 uncovered the reissue with Yumi Kazama's debut video.

KK-263.jpg
KK-263

I believe the article I mentioned above claimed Yumi was 18-years-old when she got started; she sure looked different, back then.

(By the way, Paparoach408, now that you've given us an idea of your young age, I think you can only be a "papa" of a species with a short life span. The second part of your name is now making me very uneasy.)

I took another look at one of Papa's posts, above:

"Of the more modern girls(10 years or less in) I would think that the likes of Tsubomi, Yui Hatano, and Reiko Sawamura would be the most prolific?"

Since I am especially a fan of Reiko Sawamura (Honami Takasaka), I was motivated to dig into her beginnings.

VSPDS-331.jpg

Based on her DMM filmography, of which she currently has sixty-three (63) pages, it looks like she got her start in 2008. Perhaps her first starring role was VSPDS-331, pictured above.

Might as well check out the other two names as well...

Yui Hatano

Based on her DMM filmography, of which she currently has sixty-five (65) pages, it looks like she got her start in 2008 as well. Her first starring role appears to have been in ZER-007. (Pictured below.)

ZER-007.jpg

I would not have thought of Yui as such a long-timer. You loin something new every day, here on Akiba-Online.

Last and maybe not least... (oh, WHY must this lady almost always be included in a post by the Papa!)...

Tsubomi

ONED-415.jpg

Based on her DMM filmography, of which she currently has sixty-nine (69) pages, it looks like she started in JAV even before the other two women, in 2006... there she is, above, from the cover of what was evidently her first film, ONED-415.

The question I'd like to know is who did the most movies, but only count titles that only featured her or titles that she shared the starring role with no more than a couple other women. Simply searching on DMM, etc will also include tons of compilation (XX BEST) titles which probably number as much if not more than actual new footage movies if you're searching for actresses who've had especially long careers.

it would be fun to do a timeline type thread showing how much girls have evolved from there debuts until now? for example how much Tsubomi :cerutu: has evolved over the years. that'd be fun

I think the answer would still probably be Yumi Kazama, she's been an indy star working for almost 20 years now, don't think anyone would come near that. But yeah it'd be tough to do to just pick out all the non compilation videos of people who where around for a long time.

Yumi Kazama is definitely up there. I think she's been working in the biz without any major breaks since the 90's.

However, if 'idol' can extend to actors, then she's sorely beaten by super veterans like Joe Oshima who got started at the beginning of the 90's and still works regularly.

don't know who that is, but if you're talking about Male Jav actors then yeah i think a 5 year veteran who gets regular work might have more releases then Yumi. The male pool of actors is small, so they get a lot of work.
