I downloaded and unrared and it says windows can't open this file.

Windows says it can't open the mkv? Make sure you're trying to open the right file(and not the .md5 for example)

This error is usually when you don't have any software associated with that particular extention. If you really are trying to open the mkv, it must not be associated with your video player so try to open it manually from your player.

Also check my 10 bit tutorial to make sure you can play the video properly.

Ah, ok, you haven't actually downloaded the video.

You need to be registered with a usenet provider and have a software that can handle nzb's(for example, sabnzbd).
