hi there

I was searching for a clip that I seen not so much time ago, and found it yesterday in HF by the name of "touhou douga". So, I really liked the clip and started to look for some more. Finally I found many clips with the same art and animation style but it seems that not all of them are hentai.

Basically I'm wondering if the term (if its a term in any case) "touhou" it's related to the style or the animation of the clip or something like that. And of course, Is touhou douga a serie?, or is it just a clip someone took from an h-game?, or is ita game?, or whatever this is. And if it is really a serie where can I find more information about it.

BTW I leave a pic from the clip, maybe it can ring some bells

Anyway thanks for the information you can provide

This is a great example of the old complaint, "People ask first and Google second." -_-; lol All you had to do was perform a Google search for "Touhou."
Anyway, Touhou refers to a franchise.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touhou_Project (info)

I hope this helps. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but this is about teaching you to help yourself. It's faster when one helps one's self than when waits to be helped by others.

It is obvious to anyone who knows what Touhou is.

And even if it's not obvious to the uninitiated, the simple fact of the matter is that there is only one "Touhou" on the face of the Earth. If you search for "Touhou," you're going to get the correct Touhou: the one and only Touhou.

Anyway,

the girl on the bottom left = Eirin Yagokoro = Google Images
the girl on the top right = I have no clue, perhaps it's a white-haired version of Kaguya = Google Images

========================================================

Here is sample video footage of:

Shmups:
Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, the 6th Touhou game, the first of the new generation of Touhou games
Imperishable Night, the 8th Touhou game and the one your girls are from
Mountain of Faith, the 10th Touhou game

Fighters:
Immaterial and Missing Power, the first of three Touhou fighters
Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, the second of three Touhou fighters
Hisoutensoku, the third of three Touhou fighters (technically a mod for the second ... but it's much more than a mod imo)

The main series is the bullet-hell shooters (or "shmups") you see in the first batch of links. I and a minority of fans prefer the doujinsoft fighters. Many, many fans aren't particular good at or fond of either and are simply interested in collecting fanart of the girls and discussing the girls' personalities and interactions with one another.

As Sakunyuusha has already pointed out, it's simply a MASSIVE cast franchise. The term 'Touhou' (東方) simply means East or The Orient (no surprise there, considering it's origin.)
