So, this is the difference viewing portrait images on a 17.4 inch monitor on its side vs a 20 inch monitor in normal use. Well, you'll have to open the MKV in the RAR file attached to see it better. A picture doesn't do it justice. This panoramic picture distorts things a bit.

The term you're looking for is "Portrait" Vs "Landscape"
Very early on, "Word Processors" came with a "Portrait" screen, to reflect what was viewable on a 8 1/2" x 11" legal paper.
Video uses the standard "Landscape" mode as film is often 16 x 9 aspect ratio. (Wide screen)

Been in IT for all of my adult career, just called it that for those that might not know. To avoid Googling, you see.

But your post is perfect for those in that category, so, thanks!

Thanks.. as an add, HP business class LCD screens often twist 90 degrees to allow both uses.
It's tougher when you send the signal to your 65" LCD/LED TV. :)

i’m so happy to know that other people do stuff like this. i used to watch bukkake with a dvd player and an old tv monitor… one of those boxy cathode ray tube things. (at the time, lcd tvs were just too expensive.) anyway, lots of those videos culminated with the girl’s head hanging off a mattress while torrents of jizz came flying in. invariably, the camera was behind the girl’s head, meaning her face was upside down in the frame. i like my women rightside up. so while i would try to compensate by jacking off with my ass in the air, it was just too damn uncomfortable. i therefore resorted to turning the television upside down and voila! the girl’s pretty face was then rightly positioned with gravity-defying globs of goo streaming upward. now that’s the way to watch bukkake.

but it’s not something i could really talk about with people. (never leave your television upside down when company comes over.) even here, posters generally tended to one-up each other with tips on state-of-the-art technology. i figured i’d be ridiculed if i even mentioned my approach. so it’s nice to see that some people still physically turn their monitors on their sides and, who knows, maybe even upside down.

@barba, great post! Glad we could break that silence! Also, a big thank you for reminding me I wanted to affix that monitor to the desk that way permanently. It is an older Asus monitor that I removed from its base so that I could rotate it without having the base all over the place in the process. After your post I can report that I just ordered a stand from Amazon for it. I'll let you know how it comes out!

of course, sometimes a little combination of portrait and landscape can be just the thing... such as when you want to watch shuri atomi perform as identical quadruplet pl@yb0y bunnies:

Yikes. Good grief you have all those playing at the same time?

yeah, after an initial viewing, i rarely watch a film by itself. i believe one of our members (a mister muz1234) wants to marry three porn stars. in my country, that’s against the law. (i don’t know why.) so i settle for just watching three porn stars at a time. sometimes two. sometimes four. five rather crowds the screen. a few years back, you told me about writing scripts to put all the videos in one viewer simultaneously. but i’m afraid that is beyond me. i just do what i can.
