I know what you mean. It took me a while to figure out how to use the new search function.

This is how to do a search on Akiba:
1) Click on "Advanced Search" on top-right;
2) click on "Search Single Content Type" tab;
3) make sure Search Type is Post,
4) input search query in Keywords (for maximized results, type "MIAD-504 or MIAD504" without apostrophes),
5) and then check results to return as posts, not threads.

Like the following image:
