Well problem is without those gargantuan files, there wouldn't be watchable high quality smaller versions of them so don't be distressed! Now there is only the problem, that there is no one around to re-encode them, maybe you have to be patient...

That was not exactly what I meant. My point was I don't see why the files have to be that gigantic to begin with.

Because they are HD files. HD files require a high bitrate for those sizes to look good. High bitrate means high file size, that's just the way it works.

I don't necessarily agree with that. I download mainstream movies in 1080p off a torrent site and they are always under 3 Gb. I'm not saying these porn movies should not be bigger than that but do you really believe an HD movie has to be 10-13-21 GB to look good?

Yes actually, proper encodes for a 720p 2h mainstream movie are usually 4-5GB to look very close to the original source and 1080p is double that. You're not very picky about quality if you're fine with less than 3GB for a 1080p movie(unless it's an animated movie, then it would possibly be good enough).
I asked peoples opinion a while back with one of my rare bluray encode and with just a slight drop in quality(a couple of hundred less MB) which HD material should be able to hide well, people were already noticing it.

Some of the encodes for these JAV movies could be smaller though since they use a fixed bitrate instead of a variable one that keep a visually constant quality and they aren't the best quality to begin with because they are already much more compressed that a BluRay, but that's mostly a problem with the tools used in the DRM removal which are pretty limited in what they can do.

Good grief, I've never seen a 21GB title. Can you use tell us what the video bitrate (or overall bitrate) for those 1080p titles and their length? I should have said bitrate and length matter. A 1 hour title at 6000Kbps will obviously be smaller than a 2 hour title at that bitrate. My guess is if you're getting 1080p titles that are full-length (at least 2 hours) the bitrate would probably be under 4000Kbps? The ones being posted here are usually 6000Kbps, but not always.

HUNT-868 which was just posted and everyone is talking about is 21GB(and only 720p). That's because it's 8 hours long though, it would be 4 times smaller if it were a normal length movie.

The bitrate for a 3GB 2h 1080p movie would be around 3333-3500Kbps.

Yipman files are only 4000Kbps and a ton of people are complaining about their low quality(which he can't do anything about sadly) in some blogs.

This one has 4 version instead of my usual 3 so pay attention to make sure you don't download the wrong one.
I was messing around with the new hevc codec which will eventually replace h264 and decided to encode a full movie with it and share it here for the more curious ones who would like to try it out. If you do, make sure you have a recent version of your media player or codec installed or you won't be able to see the video and will only get audio. It's also more CPU hungry so if you have a slow pc, you might have problems with it.

It does a pretty good job at compressing since it shaved off just over 300MB with settings very similar to my h264 encode and I find that its compression artifacts are less annoying to me so I'm quite pleased with it so far.
It's still early in its development so I won't be doing this for every movie I upload since not all of the features are implemented yet(but a good amount of them are) and there's still some optimization left to do on the encoder so it's slower than it should, but if you guys like it, I might do more of them so let me know what you think.

Just to give you an idea, here's how long it took to encode every version of this movie:
