I've just put this great release in my download queue and this reminded me of a conversation on this topic - shoplifting - that I had with my better half some time ago.

I mean, there was a time when I seemed to stumble a lot on TV programs featuring mainly innocent looking grannies that made a habit of "borrowing" mainly vegetables (knowing how pricey they can be, I wasn't amazed after all...) and all kind of small items.

As a side note, this reality on the field even created a new job: absolutely-ordinary-looking-totally-blending-in undercover store detective. But that's another long and fascinating story, and I already digress...

So, I've started asking questions about the unusual trend and I've got to the point where I was listening to somehow shy confessions about shoplifting as a pass-time entertainment / hobby / adventure - whatever the mix. I couldn't wrap my mind around it, so I just let it be, happily that now "we" have grown up. :)

Now, seeing the above-mentioned release, I cannot help chuckling at the thought that this would explain the low wages for store clerks and, who knows, maybe those bored wives aren't stupid after all, hehe!

See, my pervert left eye couldn't help notice the promisses offered to young girls in search for a piece of action, as depicted in this Japanese poster. Let's see... You got the schoolgirl uniform, handcuffs, what else is it in the deal? ;)
