In regards to suicide among JAV gals there are more than a few cases of completed suicide. I can find an article(s)that tell about some of them. Surely the actual number of former JAV actresses or Soapland etc workers is higher than 10 over the last 30 years, since I know of about 5, but at the very least it is not zero. Just adding this information for facts sake.

Two of the JAV actresses had done some well-known bukkake vids and might be known to some of you.

Hayashi Yumika and Kurasawa Nanami.

Some of these women had issues BEFORE they entered the industry.

While they were in the industry...

and you would logically think that they would have problems after they leave the industry.

Even if the number of suicides is low, that doesn't mean these women don't get depressed or are unhappy at times with their lives. And it doesn't matter if it's a Western porn actress, one working in JAV or whatever. No one is immune to depression, sadness and despair.

Another factor is the fans of some of these actresses. Some seem quite possessive. Sure, these women meet their fans in public places, but how many of them would want to be with some of these fans in private? Because some can't seem to separate fiction from reality.

A name I'll throw out there is Yuma Asami. After she was diagnosed with cancer, I wonder how many true fans did she have.

Did some want her to get better just so she could make more movies?

Did some stop fantasizing about her completely because their image of her was shattered?

As of May 20, 2015, she has retired from the industry. I'm curious that if she does have a personal relationship, would he want her to be like the woman he might have seen in her movies or will he accept her for who she is now?

I honestly wish her the best, but I wonder how many guys are mad that she isn't making movies for THEIR enjoyment?

If I would be a (former) JAV actress that would be my biggest concern.
Okay, I'm guy. But I think it would be the same if I would be a famous and / or filthy rich person. Does the woman really like me? Or does she like my fame and/or money?

Some actresses will post a "wish list" of things they want (clothes, shoes, a car etc...) and fans will buy these things for them.
What happens if one of these guys meets the actress in person?
Does he think she "owes" him something?
What if she disagrees because he bought her gifts of his own free will?

I can't see an actress being in a personal relationship with one of her fans. It could get weird. He might want her to recreate something she did in the movies, (r***, bukkake, scat, bondage etc...) not realizing that it was just entertainment.

Yuma Asami said she's going to continue her music career. As she pursues that, she might change her physical appearance from the past and appeal to a whole new group of fans.

Even though Rina Akiyama never did porn movies (that I know of), nowadays, she's considered purely an actress. Her profile on the Internet Movie Database ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1543071/?ref_=tt_ov_st ) makes no mention of her modeling career (It's nothing to be ashamed of) but fans of her current films might not have a clue of what she did when she was younger.

I can see other actresses and models changing their careers to the point that the JAV movies they did will be a distant memory. And with that, they could meet someone who won't bring up their past as an actress.

To make sense of it one would have to compare the numbers to number of suicides by say, lawyers or specifically female lawyers, or say bankers, or say mainstream (never done nude or JAV) actresses/idols. I bet the number of mainstream idol suicide in 30 years is much greater than 10.

Turning to the dark side (of the conversation), I checked out both wiki articles and Kurasawa Nanami's is easy enough to read. She made at least 25 AV's (Wiki's JAV filmography is never complete) in 8 years, she jumped out of her flat and killed herself.

What's pretty macbre is 2 more JAVs were released posthumously. Now... ask yourself, can you truly enjoy a JAV (you know what I mean) knowing she made a side-street pancake out of herself?

I would admit to (way back then) collecting playboy mags, vids etc including dead playmates. There was a pair of blonde twins who married this old rich guy... and I can't be sure if he married both of them or just one and have the extra as "twin-sister-in-law-with-benefits" anyway within a year he's dead. So every time you look at their nudie pix, you have to wonder how it is, to be fucked to death by these busty blonde twins.

Back to Nanami... what about the last male partner in her last JAV? You fucked her, next day (or soon after... whatever) she jumped out of her apartment to her death. How would that make you feel? Quite a lot worse than those twins, I'd guess.

Or perhaps Japanese is nonchalant about suicides too... who knows.

Jeepers. Macabre!

I did think the same thing about the video I saw after her death. IIRC, she looked like she had a new boob job and the video wasn't very interesting. Another aside: She had a pretty nice ass, but for whatever odd reason the directors/cameramen practically never had a good shot of it. A shame.

Lastly, I turn off that part of my mind when it comes to her having killed herself. Similar to how I don't think about any other deceased mainstream actor differently after they are no longer with us. Though I admit the thought of it starts to creep in to my thoughts, but I just beat it back...

Yeah, that discography there is incomplete. I have/had at least several vids that aren't listed.

I do wonder what must have gone through the minds of those that knew her at the end. Definitely curious about her last boyfriend/fiance whatever he was. Really would like to know what the whole truth was and how he felt. Oh, well.
