It’s been pretty stormy last summer 2013 in Tokyo and Japan in general.
This video was taken just west of Central Tokyo, and shows a train
getting a direct strike from lightning, and the train stay in short circuit.
You can see it just before 1:20 into the video.
A ray of these has a million volts.
