SYNOPSIS
A businessman named Wataru Hirayama objects to his daughter's unarranged marriage, however despite this he does hold liberal values and is often approached for advice by his friends, giving them an objective and humanist response rather than one rooted in traditional expectations. This contradiction is just one of many as his daughter Setsuko is modern in dress and style but old fashioned in her heart as she tries to accomodate her father and husband to be.
