NOTES: I was initially put off by the video quality, but after downloading three versions that were posted, I found out that the director did this to make the film seem more authentic. There are no paved roads or vehicles of any kind. Set in the countryside in the early 20th century, Kuremachi Yuko is a single mother with a high school age son. Her son, a smart kid who wants to go to college in Tokyo, but won’t be able to because of money, sees his mother fucking a well to do neighbor, then also with the neighbor’s employee, and is disgusted at her, confronts her, and she lets him fuck her. But all the sex was to get money for his college, and she gives him the money. He realizes what she did and expresses his appreciation as he leaves for Tokyo. This was one of my favorite Kuremachi Yuko movies, and I love movies of the old Japan.
