Hey, I've been out of touch for quite a while due to some IRL issues, but I'm back now. I'm going to be pretty busy with life (earning a living comes first, after all), but I'll try to make a bit of time to help with any issues people are experiencing. As for future directions of JavLav, it will be in maintenance mode a bit longer, I think, as I can't commit any significant time to the project.


For the more distant future, though... I've been learning a new cross-platform UI library (Avalonia), so I've been considering starting on a new cross-platform version of JavLuv and modernizing the entire codebase. Are people interested in a Mac and Linux version? What about other platforms, like web or mobile? I still haven't made any decisions about if or when I'd do this, but I thought I'd at least get some feedback.

It's been so long since you are last seen here. I'm really glad you are back here again.
In those time I didn't find any problem with the app, it works really great and I use it until now. Just a few minor feature will be great if it's added, but only if you have time. After all this app is working really great until now.

I don't use Mac or Linux, so I don't know the answer to those question. But it will be great if many other people found this app in Mac and Linux, it will be really helpful for them in managing the movies. For other platform, maybe I prefer the web version, because we can open our collection anywhere (as long it is in private place). The function maybe will be the same as mobile app, but if it is an app, we will have a little bit anxious about the privacy because the app will be shown by default in the list of apps.

Unzip the file, replace your current program. If you don't know where you program resides follow this. You have a shortcut somewhere that you use to open the program. Right click the shortcut and click on "open file location" That should take you to either the folder for the program or the location for the shortcut to it. If you get to another shortcut, right click on that and again click on "open file location" You should now be in the folder that contains all of the JAVluv files from your previous installation. Next Now you should be in the programs` directory. Click the up arrow to go one level up in the tree and you should see a bunch of folders but one will say something like: JavLuv-v1.2.11. You are going to replace the folder this folder with the folder that you just downloaded and unzipped. Now your old shortcut will run the new program, there is no actuall install process you just place the folder where your original folder sat and it should work and it will still retain all of your previous data.
Before YOu do this though, wait to see if someone responds in case I've missed something. Give it a day or so and just keep using your old version until someone screams , woah there kemosabe. that may be all swell and good on a Windows PC but you do it this way on a Mac, or whatever.
