Hello all. I am wondering if there is a better way then using google's or "other" translating features. Some of the sites that I try won't let me have full access when coming off of google??
It would be nice if it was made for firefox..I've searched but no real finds.
Of course, its always better to learn japanese but I'm looking for a "faster fix" if you will.
Thanks for any help
Jim

If you only want to translate selected text....try gTranslate..It is a Firefox ad-on....If you havent already.......https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/918
Someone here may have a better method than that.......thats all I can come up with for the moment....good luck!

You can try to use babelfish, I've heard that it is ok. Never used translating programs myself.
The newest version of opera has the babelfish translator integrated so that you can just highlight something and click to translate it.
If you're having problems with access, you can always just open up two tabs, one with the original and one through google. And then if you find something that is blocked for google, you can just search for it in the original tab.
Or you can learn Japanese^^

Yeah, I wish I were able to learn Japanese. I'm generally very good at languages, but I don't even understand the concept of Japanese. Those characters, are they words? Or parts of words, or letters?
Anyway, maybe this reference can be of any use. It's a Firefox extension and it claims it can translate Japanese into English, German, French and Russian.

I have no idea if and how well this works as I'm not a Firefox user. I stick to IE7 and Opera, so please no posts from zelots who will try and convert me to Firefox.
