Even storage and video qualities are better now, I stopped download as much. I stream and preview which ones are worthy to keep and try to buy some to show some support.
Well, not sure if you've heard, but I have a 100TB of JAV Project going. And this was just a thought to me. Maybe, I could get people to also upload to it. Kind of like a Private JAV Tracker of Sorts. I haven't worked out all the details, and it would be AT LEAST a year until it came online. Idk, just a thought. Also, I'm just overly curious about how people download, what their habits are, if they just download JAV, or other things...
Big fan of hearing people try to compete with me to see who has the largest collection as well. That's kind of how I got started downloading stuff in general.
Everyday I will collect some more, I have a serious hoarding problem and I really need to sort through stuff that I wish to keep & stuff which I could throw out.
Maybe for soft core and v-cinemas. There's some very plot heavy ones too, but it depends if they're subbed or not. I know some actually receive authentic English subs.

I think I download 1-2 vids per wk, so 100TB will take me almost 300 years to collect.
About half the time I watch AV alone, then I random seek like a mad man (I got very good at working the mouse with my left hand) and "consume" about 2 vids for a fapping.
The other half, I'm not alone, then it's for a "warm up" purpose, once we "get going" (know what I mean), then yeah technically the AV is playing without fast forward, but also technically we aren't watching anymore, it's just background for our activity.
Would you start a thread on those? I think I like pink films (if there's lots of nudity and adult situations) but no idea where to start.
Oy that's news to me!!? I was only noticing more and more mainstream top idols are releasing bukkake or facial-theme vids. But... I suppose you find them boring?
There used to be a lot of cat 3/pinku films in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. Nowadays, it's mostly South Korea since most die out in the 90s with the rise of jav popularity. South korea sometimes still hire av actresess in their movies too and Hong kong still ocassionally invite av actresses to guest star or lead in better budget movies, but only in like one every few years now. Nowadays, Japan are doing quite a few anti-porn/av actress memoirs film that sort of fit the pink film Category, but it's no longer about torture, shaming, or disgrace like the 70s and 80s. I guess the most memorable ones in the last decade are the Flower and Snakes duology filmed by 80s j-pop teen star Aya Sugimoto in the mid 2000s after she divorced her husband because of a sexless marriage. She went on to film children tokusatsu shows like a few av retirees and guest star on night dramas like shimokita glorious days before becoming an adult writer nowadays. Btw there was an hour long bts documentary that talks about the making of Flower and Snake 1&2 too.
A lot of av actresses still film low budget softcore nude v-cinemas(direct-to-DVD) or sleazy late night net dramas in Japan where they can showcase some deeper actings(no pun intended) like the Yankee/punk HSgirls series. A few of the titles got imported to the USA with authentic English subs that could be purchase on Amazon. yesAsia got some Raw/Chinese subbed titles. Akiho Yoshizawa, Sora Aoi, Maria Ozawa, yuma asami, anri suzuki, riko tachibana, risa coda, Rio, Mihiro, Aino Kishi, Miyuki Yokoyama, Alice miyuki, Ai uehara, Anri okita, hibiki Otsuki, yui hatano, yui tatsumi, jessica kizaki, amami, sakura yura, moe amatsuka, and the list goes on done at least one or even a dozen. I know a few of them appeared in movies in other Asian countries with and without nudities too. I remember finding downloads for some of them with English subtitles. However, it's harder to even find raw for the newer ones today. The typical tropes usually involved ninjas or samurai tough girls that used to be innocent or tomboy teens. Also, not all av idols film pink films and not all pink films feature av idols. I remember 10 years love actress played an escort, but was never join av. Kaera uehara filmed for hk only, but she did appear in the original muscat before retiring.

Flower and Snake was great back than, but it's kind of mental. Watching that was more like watching art film than a erection-enabler. Not as bad as Girl with Dragon Tattoo, a film that must watch, but not enjoy.
Shimokita Glorious Days is perfect for what I want in pink film/tv/miniseries. "Deeper" acting than AV ok if you want to put it that way. But really just silly light comedy with corny dialogues, wooden or over-acting (not too important, managing to blurp out each character's lines is enough. Key point is plenty of eye candy, sexy situation or dialogues.
I'd rather see some film/vid with bunch of no-name pretty girls with bad acting, lots of upskirt/underwear/bikini/no-nudity shower/simulated sex rather than a "serious" film with a "serious" plot, "serious" acting and one AV idol flashing her boobs for 1.63 seconds out of the whole film.
And I'm not tracking down Asian B-movies/cinema for that flash of nipples or ass profile that's not even necessary for the plot. (typical plot is some crime/police comedy with say 1 local hot girl (say HK or TW) for love interest who won't show much skin and say 1 import AV idol for the seductress/henchwoman for the bad guy , who won't have more than 3 lines but will do some laughable stunt/fight and flash her body a couple times.

Shimokita is like the classic yet cliche Love Hina-ish harem trope. Aya Sugimoto and sora Aoi was guests in the show too. Another popular night drama would be The Jyuou series, which isn't too light or dark, but feature a decent amount of av idols like sora, saori, and akiho & gravure idols like reon kadena and mikie Hara. There's also the futari ecchi live action movies and net movies that are sort of comedic at teaching people how to have sex and some lighthearted guide to a typical Japanese salaryman married life except he got a hot wife. Av titles and some Hentai that are similar to the ones filmed by attackers always have the same plot heavy and dark dialogues, so there's that to appeal to people dark fantasy. Pink films that makes it to theatre in Japan are usually those av memoirs and sort of anti-av with a deeper meaning with very cliche artistic allegories. Others that might make the cut are horror films that feature nudity. Maria Ozawa was in a lot of those in Southeast Asia and Taiwan before she hit a dead end with her fame, but lucky for her she got a decent career in the phillipine now and is currently dating a famous chef.
I guess you might be in to the Hong Kong cat3 movies in the last decade if that's the case. There are a few well-known av idols along with the typical HK stereotypes and slapstick comedy. lankwaifong, 33d sex invader, naked ambition 1&2, A.V 2005, and Due West sex journey all have English subs and a few av idols baring their skin. The local hk, Taiwanese, and Chinese girls bare their backs and dress provocatively to show off their voluptuous bodies too. Sex&chopsticks and the old/new sex&zen might be too culturally weird even for the locals. it was kaera uehara only pink film though and she even dance in Macau a few times after retiring and graduating from the original muscat. Speaking of Macau, it really exceeded Las Vegas in terms of flashiness nowadays. A lot of av idols dance there and Katsuni of France even did a strip show there a few years ago during her peak. Now she's trying to become an action star.
Any way you can share where and how you get information on Ai Uehara? She's the only one I'm willing to follow lol.

I barely download now because nothing peaks my interest in the creampie genre.
everyday, besides specific actresses that release new stuff, but majority of my time is spent downloading old stuff, I download a good 20-30 gigs a day
I download one movie per day. If the movie is longer than two hour, I skip parts that are less interesting, or I watch the end another night. I select movies I download so I rarely delete them. It only happens if I stop watching an actress or the movie wasn't as good as I thought.
I only look for new JAV every week or so, but download it almost everyday.

I set aside at least 2 days a weeks to search the JAV sites to see what's out that's worthy of downloading. Now how much I download in that time depends on if I find some stuff that I like or not. I have a crazy backlog of flicks on my hard drive that I haven't even watched yet so the days of me downloading any flick that even gave me mild interest are long gone.

Used to download daily when i started about 6 years ago and ended up filling my 2TB HD, nowadays I'm farely up to date so my downloads follow the current release dates of the movies which is about once or twice a month. I have no plan to fill another HD so I decided to clean it up and keep the best ones (which I've been doing for like a year hehe).
I log the ones I have and the ones I watched (and deleted) on Javlibrary, I've been going through them all removing genres that no longer interests me or actresses that didn't "make the cut". I also use the jav scraper to sort them and filter them in Kodi or similar media managers.
Nowadays to preserve my GBs I try not to rely only on the covers and title as they can be missleading, I first check the screens and preview on R18 to make sure it's worth the space. I also redownloaded most of them in SD so it's about 1GB per movie instead of 3+.
I don't stream at all anymore, the loading time and pop up ads when fastforwarding are too annoying.
As for genres I download mostly "daughter-in-law" and other cuckold/abuse such as "fucked behind husbands back", "boss of the husband" and a few molester movies with the same theme. I like when the husband is unaware while the wife is slowly falling to the pleasure, if he walks in on her at the end and she can't stop while he cries it's a bonus. Other than that I like "Friend's mother" and some Shotakons as long as the mother is fit enough, if they bully the mother to fuck her son it's strangely satisfactory.
My favorite labels are definetly Attackers and Madonna, not a big fan of pure r*** tho, if it's without submission and drama it's not for me.
