8.15TB across 4 hard drives. Plus 220+ DVDs (I used to burn data DVDs before hard drives became so cheap).
Doing the math 8.15TB + (220*4.4GB) = 9TB+

I used to have close to 1TB of stuff until my external hard drive crashed but I can get it all back, just a matter of downloading everything again.

I like my collection small. After great HDD crash, 100GB. Used to about 200GB. Several old ones are hard to come by.

I have 3 TB special for JAV collection, and already use almost 1/2 of the space

still focus on SD quality, so I can get much more movies

I bought a 2.5 inch 2TB drive just to accommodate my collection. I converted 400 purchased DVDs into HEVC (h265) That only took up about 350gb. Now with stuff I've downloaded I'm up to 1 terabyte. Mostly just mainstream stuff from the big studios.

Purchased JAV? You live in Japan? Or you bought the kind of DVD that comes without the boxes and covers?

I live in a place where there are websites that resell burnt DVDs with local language subtitles. so the 400 I've bought only cost me about USD$270. Not even close to the real purchase price if I were in Japan buying originals.
