Hey guys,

I'm having problem with CPU upgrade. Upgrading from sempron to Phenom II X2 545.
The motherboards is using socket AM2+ and the CPU itself is AM3.
From the information that i have gathered. This should work.
But I just tried it and It won't work on me.
I updated the BIOS to version 9. And still won't work.
Is there anyone out there, have any experience like this?
Did i missed something?

The site of gigabyte lists it as supported. I can only make a wild guess: could be a DOA or the heatsink isn't installed properly. Maybe it's a common problem, so if you haven't solved it yet, you could if you haven't already ask on a board like overclockers.com or a board like that that specializes in CPUs, motherboards and other hardware.
