Synopsis:
The title roughly means ‘Photos of the village’. – Hanatani is a beautiful village located in the mountains of Tokushima. However, the village is soon to be sunk under a dam. To record how wonderful it was, the village office hire Ken’ichi, a photographer living in the village. They ask him to take photos of all the village families. For this project, Ken’ichi calls his son Takashi back from Tokyo, where he was working to become a professional photographer. Takashi wonders why his father called him, because their relationship has not been so intimate. As they continue to shoot the people in the village, Takashi’s feeling towards his father is gradually changes...
