okay this is kind of a weird one... my stereo equalizer component got to hot or shorted out or something yesterday. ive taken it apart and nothing that i see is wrong but it wont turn on, i have checked the basics, fuses, power cord. its not that. i forgot how lame tv sound really is, even through the surround sound with no eq its nothing but mid-range sound.

i run my computer sound through the stereo also and im wondering if i can run the t.v. sound into the mic with RCA'S (the two plug to one jack wire that i have two of) and use my desktop equalizer. is this in any way possible?

ok i got the sound coming from the t.v. into the comp and out through the stereo speakers but my desktop eq will not change anything...
