about what anime suggest you, well, i'm really indecise ..... i like a lot of works, included the ones you mentioned but also others a bit more "strange" that maybe other peoples don't like ..... i like almost all the works from Miyazaki, but also some more "strange" works , just as example, Gunslinger Girl, Excel Saga, Last Exile, Full Metal Panic, Berserk, Gungrave, Death Note, Haibane Renmei, Ikkitousen, all the HiME serie, Grave of the Fireflies, Hunter X Hunter, Tenku no Escaflowne, Spirited Away, Uchuu no Stellvia, Chobits, Boogiepop Phanthom, Serial Experiments Lain ..... well, RahXephon too, as probably you guess
..... and ofcourse almost all the hentai manga
..... is really difficult for me to show a specific preference ..... can say that if is made technically good and if have a decent story, there is a good 90% of possibility that i like it
