She kind of seems too important and wealthy to do escorting. Why would a well paid news anchor sell their bodies for cash? I can understand a jav star, or anither girl who just loves sex or pleasing men, and wants to make money at it, or maybe someone who is really poor and desperately needs the cash, which is a sad case. I don't know anything about Saya Hayama, assuming she's an established news anchor. There is no comparison between news anchors and a middle aged washed up has-been smalltime tv actress from decades ago. Newsanchors get paid very well. Some of them may have had to provide sexual favors to their superiors to obtain/hold their jobs (as often happens to women in many other "clean" industries), but they wouldn't risk their very public image and careers turning tricks for a pittance.

Actresses struggle a lot (think of the waiting tables while hoping for a part cliché). Most do not get to be the star in anything. For many of them that not only means giving in to casting couch antics to get roles but also alternate means to sustain themselves.
