Both of these worked perfectly for me emulated on jpcsp64 on Windows 7 x64. That being said I haven't tried running it on a jailbroken PSP, any of the versus modes or using Aces save data to unlock the Gears bonus costumes. Still, I don't see any reason to suspect that any of that wouldn't work.

Unfortunately, there is a dearth of English information about these games but so learning the controls can be a challenge. The English wiki page for Aces has some information and better yet there exists a translation of the manual. Gears on the other hand is a mystery to me. I think you best bet is to make Google Translate do some work. I'd start with the Japanese wiki page then I guess just Google the Japanese title and Google translate every page. But seriously, if anyone finds any good resource on Gears hook me up with a link. And if you want dialogue for either...l2moonspeak I suppose.
