@jugulear is most guilty of topic drifting, but he's quite right. Something happened with the Reagan admin, particularly the second term. It is now far less common to see topless girls in beaches even in Europe and even most distressingly, it's now socially mandatory to hide the shape of a woman's nipples with padding or scotch-tape.
Back then it's common to notice nipples on the streets and especially at beaches and pool (even on women wearing conservative one-piece swimsuits). And it was even not so uncommon to catch a direct unobstructed sightline to exposed nipples when a woman bend down or move around. People-watching has been declining as a fun pass-time.
