i heard from a friend of mine that people are really cracking down on downloading free movies,anime,music and that your more likely to be caught now. is that true or is it all hype.

theres always crackdowns and security people watching over you. My advice...try to download with proxies that'll help block your IP (ultrasurf rocks!)...also whenever you can, just move your files to a portable HD or DVD's. And I stopped using p2p progies altogether. Direct downloading is safer. However when I cant find it on direct-dl ill use bittorrent but after its finished I pretty much just close/delete the torrent. And make sure you have good internet security present too but that goes without saying.
