Synopsis
Honda Kosuke (Fukushi Seiji) is the prized boyfriend of dental hygienist Kotari Haruka (Higa Manami). Kosuke holds the Bakken record for the longest successful jump at Sapporo’s Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium and is a ski jumper who shows great promise of qualifying for the Olympics. Both sets of parents approve of their relationship. However, tragedy abruptly strikes when Kosuke falls head first in an accident during a jump at the Olympic training camp in Finland. The family is shocked at his change when he is transferred to a Tokyo hospital. Although he miraculously escaped death, he has lost his memory due to cerebral contusion and has even forgotten about Haruka. That is not all. He is no longer aware that he is a ski jumper despite all putting his heart and soul into it. They do not know if he can be rehabilitated. His father (Jinnai Takanori) tells Haruka that Kosuke is no longer the person he was before and if she wants to call off the wedding, now is the time. However, Haruka cannot leave Kosuke. Seeing the view from Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium triggers memories of ski jumping. At the same time, he also recalls that Haruka is his girlfriend. This is how the two of them overcome the tragedy of the accident, deepen their bonds and vow to live together. However, on the day of their marriage, further tragedy strikes the two of them. Haruka is attacked by a serious disease of unknown origin.
