Let's be realistic for a sec.
That ranking was 8 years ago, an eternity. She had a real shot back then.
They presented a much sexier version of Asami in three DVDs two years ago, but they never followed through with it, IMO it was already too late.
Now she's 26, she's not in the A tier of gravure idols, and not in the top B tier either.
She hasn't done a single photoshoot in the last nine months, and these days she says a couple of lines about once a month on a local TV show that gets fewer than 1000 views on YouTube.
Says she has no desire to switch agency, but wants to stay a gradol "for ever" (on her last tiktok LIVE)
On top of that, most of her fans seem to be fans of her "Junior Period", which I think is actually a disadvantage now.
So unless there's a huge turnaround (which I'd genuinely love to see, since I really like Asami), I don't see her becoming a mainstream gravure idol or a tarento.
That said, she seems to have plenty of side gigs that pay well enough for her to maintain a comfortable lifestyle, so that's cool for her and I wish her all the best.
(And I'll hope for a miracle too).
