I haven't seen any, but I have come across some previews, I just want to ask if they are real, they seem to really shit into whatever... and I was thinking, there's gotta be some camera trick done cos how can they REALLY eat shit...
Anyway, please enlighten me.
 
Probably, but the Food and Drug Administration doesn’t concern itself with Japanese AV. :)

The studios we work with that film scat have told me it's real. I've never been on one of their active scat sets though so I can't confirm, but I'm taking their word for it.

If I had to guess, I'd say some of the super extreme major label scat stuff such as what Opera makes is not real.

To summarize - Is it gross? Yes. Will it hurt you? No.

How can some people do it? Well...they just need to overcome their gag reflex. Some people have a fetish and are thus able to do so naturally. For some others, maybe they took some medication that inhibits it.
 
They could fake it though: have the actress have her colon cleansed after emptied, the fill it with some chocolate substance that *looks* like shit.
Pretend it's the real thing...
