Anju Kouzuki 香月杏珠

I thought I heard that new subscriptions for Anju's Fantia account are no longer accepted.
If that's true, then I'm at a complete loss as to why she's moving so fast to expose herself.
She surprises us all with how fast she's moved towards showing it all.

But it's a terrible business model. Does she have her eye on something else? Something entirely different?
I can see it, if you're trying to attract new customers.
But if her customer base is fixed, she's not going to make more money by madly rushing forward the way she is.
It seems to me she would want to milk it.
Give the customers just a little bit more.
Keep them guessing, excited and hungry.
If she continues along her current path, she runs the risk of over exposure.

Maybe she's overreacting to her subscriber's suggestions to show us more and more.
I know we all want to see her naked, I want to see more too.
But at Fantia,, she can only take that so far.
What happens when she hits the limits of what she can do there.
Will we lose interest when there's nothing new to see.

Her approach does make sense if she's testing the waters to see if she could go to JAV or full nude modeling

Any Thoughts?

It is still possible to join the plan as you can see in picture:
plan.jpg
And for new subscriber, he need to pay much extra to get old videos.
So it can be good way to have extra revenue.

Example : Imagine you join in february. Then you cannot get the three videos from january or the ones before.
By doing things like that she will make new subscriber interested in buy old videos, and that can give super good extra yens.

Other than that I can say she or her management tries follow what fans ask as much as possible.

what are the line marks on her arm?
She use to hurt herself with a razor. She talked about it when she was in JI. She was living alone in other city away from family and things were not going her way. She still does live away from family and alone ,so guess she has matured mentally now. This fantia thing seems to take away her pain of loneliness by connecting to her fans and she does not have to abide by any restrictive agency contract. And ofc more money.

She's still emotionally unstable and immature, which is part of why I find her rapid transition to cheap porn so troubling. It's also the complete antithesis of what made her popular to begin with. I can't bring myself to enjoy it.

I also find it really weird how outside of Fantia she still pretends like she’s a normal gravure idol. Twitter feed doesn’t really show dildos or anything, focuses solely on modeling. That’s probably why she was able to pose with Homare and nobody batted an eye

It is quite common to have this situation to avoid as much as possible shadowbans and issues that go with that.

And gap moe has always been encouraged by Bambina agency. I think most of the girls from the agency use it a lot.
And I have to admit it seems very efficient when I see reactions of people.

Gap moe is the fact of making as if one is having two contrasting personality traits.
This big contrast creates a sense of surprise, satisfaction and excitement for the fans. The bigger gap, the better.

The technique follows this workflow:
1) "The Gradol posts mostly innocent things" (i went shopping with a friend, i talk with mom, i walk my grandpa) => people think her character is "pure/innocent/etc..."
2) "Oh in fact she does lewd things " => "Oh I never thought a girl like that would do that" / "I cannot believe it" etc... => excitement
3) It creates more discussion, which brings more fans.

Example (it is not the best because the gap was too big and Eyu had to shut her SNS, but well...) :
Eyu on SNS (when she had some) : most of the time innocent behavior, talks about her mom, makes simple dances on TikTok, says she wants to be an idol.
Eyu not on SNS: well, i do not need to repeat it again.

=> BIG contrast => "WOW I never thought she would do that" / "No it's not possible", etc... => Excitement from the fans => More people want to meet her.
If in SNS she was mostly showing herself in lewd situation, there would be less excitement.

It's the same for Anjyu, Asami, and many others from Bambina.

Even AV idols do that sometimes.

I hope it is more clear. Not easy for me to try to explain. But it is very common in Japan, you find it in animes, movies, mangas too... Sorry if i was saying something very ordinary.

Edit: to avoid this "gap moe" effect for you, just consider that you NEVER know someone or even have a reasonable idea of what someone is only based on what that person posts on SNS or says in Lives.
I write that because in the past I saw fans who were totally devastated by simple things. Even some still cannot believe the truth.

Thank You Tokyoboy77 for your quick response!

I think this revelation is very important in helping westerners better understand the idol industry
and maybe better understand the Japanese culture.

More questions for you:
- What is SNS?
- Doesn't the idol agency always want the idol to look innocent?
Or are you saying that even the agency wants the idol to have different personalities?
- Does the idol want to keep her 2 personalities separated in order to keep her "innocent" fan base?
Or does she want her fans aware of both the innocent and lewd in order to create excitement?
- Does the idol sometimes do lewd things, just to create this gap moe?
- Couldn't she be making up lewd stuff which is untrue, just to create gap moe?

Thanks Again

she went to dildo too fast. i still think it's not her decision, but the agency pressured her. if it's true, it's sad. if not, then i don't know.

I agree with you dredwood.
She also went too fast in sticking her nude cunt in the air.
She's moving so fast that we won't get to enjoy seeing her in a slow transition,
modeling sexy, ever more revealing outfits, having a "slip" here and there, etc.
Instead, everything she does from now on will be lewd.

Also, it may be her fans that she's responding to, rather than the agency.
Some of the most vocal fans may want her to move fast and even into JAV.
Some fans see no art in this - only how fast they can get her naked and lewd.

What is SNS ? => It is "Social Networking Service" : LINE, Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram... Is "SNS" not used in western countries??? I mean it is pure english?

Doesn't the idol agency always want the idol to look innocent? => No. It depends of agency and also of trend.
Examples that come to mind:
CPC agency wanted idols to look like much more aggressive. It was the agency of Asuka Izumi.
アルファ・ジャパンプロモーション (Alpha Japan Production) was also pushing the idols to look more like "bad girls" It was agency of Yui Arioka and Yukari Nakai. One time, I remember, when Yui was 15 or even less. (I think?) she published a blog text asking to her fans if they had masturbated a lot with her last DVD... That text was too extreme and she modified it after. But that gives you idea.
And the trend changes too. In the past, Asami would talk or tweet more about how she took care of her butt to make fans happy and also about men. She has not done that for years. The current trend is more "Pure".

Does the idol want to keep her 2 personalities separated in order to keep her "innocent" fan base? => It is very complex question. I not have a general answer for that, it really depends of many factors. But it is sometimes mentally hard for the idols to deal with that. I remember Asuka Izumi crying.
Idols are not robots... Each case can be different. But what is to be kept in mind is that agency can push a lot.

Couldn't she be making up lewd stuff which is untrue, just to create gap moe? => I don't have a specific example in mind for that.
I remember that at one point the agency of Perfume (the very famous POP group in Japan) was suspect of wanting fans to think that Nocchi was in intimate relationship with a quite ugly man. I remember some comments talking about "The beauty and the beast". But it created some buzz so it was "good".
And the agency of Perfume forbid the 3 girls to change their hair style, because each hairstyle attracts different kind of fans.
The three girls talked about that publicaly. So for 25 years they had no choice but to keep the same hair style, whatever what they wanted or not. But here it is not gap moe, it's just usual marketing.

Sorry for not giving you more precise answers. Hope it helps a little.
