Synopsis
5cm per Second is a three-part movie that tells the story of two close friends, Tohno Takaki and Shinohara Akari, who were separated by circumstances that forced Akari to move out of town. They try to overcome the physical distance between them by keeping in contact through email, but their exchanges gradually become more and more infrequent. As they leave their childhood behind, Takaki still remembers the times they shared together, and wonders if he would ever have the chance to meet Akari again.
