Nope. It's significantly faster. Faster line, faster server (sempron vs. dual xeon). The real killer is, more traffic. About twice as much actually. Almost all of them downloading attachments. And on average people are hanging around more than twice as long (IP/pageviews) But it _is_ faster...

Members can't hard-delete. Soft-delete is the more 'normal' option, and almost everything, even when deleted by mods, is soft-deleted. If it bothers you you could ask a mod to do it for you.

Got matching thanks buttons now for the two new themes. If you're using the blue (default) theme, hit CTRL+F5.

If you are squinting because the text is too small, at least in firefox you can increase the text size with CTRL+ I find that the dark style looks best with increased text size, however that's mostly because of my monitor resolution (1920x1200) so I am hesitant to increase the global size...

If it's with the 'spring' skin, change to a different skin.

Ah I suppose spring doesn't work with vBulletin 3.7 too well... The guy who designed the spring theme has kinda dropped off the face of the internet though. Closest would be a green version of the Blue theme.

The site is still akiba-online.com, the IP address is only a stopgap measure until all the worldwide DNS servers have stopped associating the domain with the old server. For most people, this has already happened. For the rest, it shouldn't be more than a day at the most.

You will get that message if 1. You click the 'links' link at the top. It doesn't go anywhere, and is a relic of a vBulletin addon. Will be removed in due course. or 2. You are visiting on the IP http://193.164.132.19 because your DNS hasn't updated, in which case links relying on the URL...

Yea, I noticed a few kinks with lightscreen, pictures not loading. TBH I'm not overly fond of the feature, it just came pre-enabled in this build of vBulletin. Though an obvious way around it is middle clicking the thumbnail. I've Disabled it anyway. Some Ajax features don't like this database.

You need to install Japanese fonts and settings. It's in 'regional and language settings' in your control panel. East asian fonts. You may also need to go under the advanced tab and change your non-unicode settings to japanese.

The attachments won't be a problem this time. This time we're moving server on purpose, rather than being booted. As for speed increase, it will be like night and day. And no more database errors and hanging posts... :sick:

Such limits are determined by usergroup-settings... But I didn't know anyone even used the upload signature option. It'd be much easier to host it externally and just use [img] tags. I use tinypic. anyway, limit increased.

I'm not too keen on the idea of deleting threads just because they're old. Members can self-censor old threads if they like, through their own settings in the control panel. As for limits on thread creation, that's not really a problem much, since the posting rate is really quite low compared...
