Hi Guys, now that the age of AI is coming through,
I am sure there might be a way to create subtitle of a jav video using AI,

I suspect the rar vs zip folder issue may simply be caused by default settings for the app used on either side(I'm slowly downloading 2 of them to check how they are packed but you know, wait times).
It may be that winrar is set to automatically create a folder upon extraction and opening the zip with winrar also(it supports it fine and I assume @gdq is not doing that already) would produce the same desired behavior. The extraction path can also be changed from the default to extract to a specified folder.
Or it may be that @DScott was selecting the folder to compress it with winrar, but that's not the case anymore with whatever they're using for the zip or it automatically defaults to the content of the selected folder.

Thanks for weighing in on this. I did a test by unzipping one of the .zip files, by Right clicking/extract all and the integrated zip utility in Win 11 extracted fine and created a root folder called "J" so I'm not quite sure why he was having a problem. That said it is jus as easy for me to use .rar as .zip and if anyone is having an issue then using .rar going forward is a simple fix.
On another note, if you're downloading to check the quality of the srt's, try J it is a fairly small file, 50 Meg or soI think. K is going to be one of the monster files. which I am currently processing. Cheers.
I checked and the A rar archive does include an A folder inside but the J zip doesn't, the srt and covers are directly at the root of the archive.
So sounds like win 11 integrated utility is creating a folder named after the archive file by default when extracting, which is why you didn't notice.
Defaults can be changed when making or extracting, but up to you how consistent you wanna be.

Thanks for this feedback . When I reverted back to upping to filejoker I edited some or the zips, like removing srt's that had 0 or 1 kb. There's a variety of reasons for this. I've discovered that a couple if my files have been edited and the audio has been removed or there are lots of comp. videos where the dialog has been eliminated to just give the highlights. In any case, there seems to be about 10-15 of these .srt's that have almost nothing on them. I was originally removing those srt's before uploading but I forgot to do it recently . I'm more aware of it now so I'll start to do that again.
Since I personally don't like to have to go through a tree, A/A/files, I have been compressing them without the internal folder since when extracting, a folder mirroring the zip filename will be created. To make sure of this I will just rar everything an so there will be no confusion.

Hi Folks. I have the letter K here, I believe that I will go back several days and remove links from several posts thhat I made to avoid confusion. More than one person missed the H file for example. I have everything from A-J, just a couple of messages back so I will clean up the previous ones to save confusion. And besides, I hate clutter. So, that said, here is the letter "K" There's about 1100 srt's in this rar file. Cheers.
Here Is the L file. There's only about200 srt's. Filesize is small about 20 Meg. So this is a good one if people want to check the quality of my files.
On that note I have a question that I really would like some feedback on. When I have completed a folder,let's say “L” there's always several files that have very small filesize, 0-3kb. These typically are for a few reasons, they are comp. videos that have no dialog, I have a found a few videos that have no sound at all, The videos have very minimal dialog, and once in a while you will get a hallucination that just says, thank you for viewing my video or please subscribe.
With these files it is my habit to re-run them through Whisper to see if I can get something better but more often than not it is the same result. I've tried running without VAD on these files and almost always it is just hallucinations.
Ultimately I just delete 0,1 Kb before uploading the zip but it just occurred to me that some people may want these anyway. They take up no space in the zip so if any of you have a preference would you let me know. Adding or excluding them is a tiny step in the process so it makes no difference to me but if it does to you guys, please let me know. Thanks.

I couldn't resist Subbing this recent reduced mosaic release of a Ayumi Shinoda JAV. I used WhisperJAV0.7 to create this Sub and I also attempted to clean it up a bit and re-interpreted some of the meaningless/ "lewd-less" dialog. Again, I don't understand Japanese so my re-interpretations might not be totally accurate but I try to match what is happening in the scene. Anyway, enjoy and let me know what you think..

Nice prompt, thanks for sharing. I'll use it from now on. Seeing onee-san in a subtitle is new to me and I really like it. Onee-san sounds more endearing and immersive like in dass-546. Previously the word, sis, takes me out of the plot especially when it's just an older neighbor with no blood relations.
I made a Python script for Faster Whisper with VAD that can run on your local PC if you have a CUDA gpu. Check it out in the Tutorials Whisper thread.
Sharing a mix of Chinese and Whisper subs, all translated on Deepseek. Recommend:

Glad you liked it, I'm also incorporating a 2-pass system where we first do a little bit of context extraction to help out the whole translation process. It helps a lot with keeping certain terms and names the same.
Example : In the first 600 lines the term 女将 (Okami) could be translated as Landlady, but in the next 600 lines it could be translated as owner, hostess or proprietress.
Everything is working. It does add a bit of tokens 30 to 50%. I've added it separately to the CSV as well.
But I'm still working on the prompt, and I might add a thing where the script asks first if you want to manually review that context extraction, so if you want to change certain translations and which Japanese terms (like Onee-san, Hentai) you want to preserve.

If you have another version you might need to adjust the synchronization a bit - just move all subs by using, for example, Subtitle Edit. There are also versions with and without a bonus scene at the end. I think that bonus scene doesn't have any dialogue so these subs should still suit that longer version.
Also, there are video versions available that have what seem to be well translated Chinese hard-subs. I looked for a soft-sub file with those Chinese subtitles but couldn't find it. If anyone happens to have such a file I'd really appreciate you posting it. If I get hold of it I can do a better English translation.

I recently down loaded a reduced mosaic version of RCTD-551 and of course I had to revisit my previously posted Sub for RCTD-551. Like I've said before a Sub is really never done...at least mine aren't! At some point one just throws in the towel and surrenders! lol

I've just dropped a new version of WhisperJAV (v1.1) with new features.
The new version installs via pip and you can run it as a CLI or through the new GUI.
It's still a work in progress, so think of it as a beta test.
I plan to add an exe file later.
For colab users a new notebook is coming --there is one at the moment which is in alpha state.
This is the first time I am doing a pip install attempt, I'm sure it might not be universally smooth in all environments.
All your comments, suggestions, bug reports, and feature requests are very welcome.
