This all sounds like a load of hyped up scaremongering tactics crap from Linux lovers to me. I don't agree with data being sent without permission but the reality is we're all sending out what many would classify as sensitive data (most of us not knowing it) to god knows who almost every time...

I was an avid collector of gravure images up until a few years ago, at one point in my collection I had over 500,000 images (probably a lot more); around 5000-6000 sets + scans and scattered pic's at 100GB+. Sometimes regrettably I did away with a lot of sets in favor of keeping my favorites...

It's not a case of everybody thinking they should have everything for free. It's a case of why are people trying to force people to pay for something they themselves got for free somewhere else. You say "many people", but the fact is that it's a very small minority of uploaders who actually pay...

I doubt that these are actually the same users, but rather users who want to appear on the first page of the members list, hence the !!! before their names, could be automated registrations. Nearly all users on the first page have weird advertising links in their signatures for their websites...
