Imagine if one had the option to, I don't know, stop paying for a product or service one is not comfortable with.
Sounds crazy, right?

For example, If I had issues with my ISP I think I'd change providers rather than going to their office every week to yell at them that their product is deficient.

There's nothing wrong with hoping things improve with the option of leaving if they don't. Nothing is so black and white as you suggest.
