Some criticisms of current JAV productions

I have some criticisms with the way JAV productions are heading.

1) Male Actors- I have noticed a few new male actors appearing and frankly their techniques don't excite me at all.
Unlike veterans like Yoshimura Taku. And there's ALWAYS that actor who gets to have the first scene with a new girl's Debut.
I don't know his name but his techniques are so boring! The actress is beautiful but the actor just plain ruins the atmosphere.

2) Lighting- I don't know what's up with the art director but there's this bright extreme contrast on the subjects, which shines a
very bright glow on them. It's jarring, distracting and often seen in Debut movies. They need to turn down that contrast or lighting.

3) Story- Most movies now have almost next to no story. Just straight up sex. Even with genre ones with plots are lame. It doesn't get the viewer excited.
Maybe the AV producers can watch 'Red Shoes Diaries' or 80-90s American softcore for inspiration. Sex without anticipation or build up
of tension is not arousing.

There are a lot of issues facing the traditional porn world at the moment - and while many of these aren't the fault of the traditional porn world (OnlyFans being one prime example) - it has essentially sped-up the rate at which the "status quo" just isn't passable anymore.

Japan by all means and measures has it way easier than the rest of the West when it comes to what's happened with porn production. OnlyFans hasn't really hit there nearly as hard - the women haven't become indoctrinated in feminism to the same degree - and, for all intents and purposes - truly beautiful women (naturally busty, cute face, no tattoos, some actual innocence) show up at even the grungiest and low-key studios.

One thing that has no doubt shaken them up is AI, however. And that's where things get truly interesting. It's not just that guys can program the perfect women these days - they can have "her" do whatever they want as well. That's a pretty slick sell. Added to this, the very prospect of gender relations have hit an all-time low across Asia (just look at the birth-rate - and Asian guys are seemingly shyer and less forthright than their American/European counterparts - who likewise are now starting to shy away from women), so guys might just not really be hungering for porn to the same degree as they once used to (when it comes to real women).

That AI app from Grok or whatever it was that made you essentially have a pocket girlfriend really shook up the "where is the needle now" on gender relations in Asia.

Beyond all of this, though, and where it really affects porn is the absolute tidal wave of creativity that AI has unleashed. No taboo too risky to not have it realized in absolutely stunning detail - and now - NSFW video generation is nearing the 10 second mark (a key and distinctive benchmark) - so, things are just going to keep heating up.

Meanwhile, traditional porn has more or less stayed locked in their "tried and true" zones - and, when standing next to an altogether brand new porn invention - it can, by the merits of contrast alone, seem pretty old and tired.

I find lots of new productions have essentially zeroed in on the "static electricity in the air" sensation that truly great porn produces - and have learned to start cutting back on any bloat (or unnecessary filler). They aren't trying to make it "real" anymore - but are leaning more heavily into the "fantasy" aspect of it - which I think is great.

When it comes to the "performers not doing that great of a job" - I think that, as with AI porn, when you compare Asian porn with the rest of the world, the male performers can sometimes seem to ... not measure up. All you need to do is watch one Asian get a bbc double anal gangbang with two sixteen inch cocks ramming her at approximately 30 MPH simultaneously and it's like ... watching some 5 inch Asian dude almost drop his load when he's taking off his pants because the girl is so pretty is like ... yeah ... we don't need to see this guy trying to mount her like a dung beetle trying his hardest to get up the sandy dune ... especially not for twenty minutes.

You leave the grandpas alone, though. Whenever most guy's see a seventy year old taking off his pants and the girl smiling - they all figure - hell, maybe I have a chance after all.

But other than that - improvements are always possible and encouraged - but the scenes being released today have a lot more dynamic energy in them than the older scenes used to. To each their own, though.

if you are talking about the guy with the silly hair knot in SONE-568. I find him boring too and don't even wanna look at that face, almost looks like the guy who was doing it with all the hot girls in the golden age of JAV with all the hot girls. I'm taking about the guy in SOE-695 appears at 1:10 mark. I just find these guys boring as shit with unlikable faces for being a male porn guy.

Yep, saw your thread and thought this immediately. Everything is too bright these days. There's no depth, you can't see details, skin looks bad, everything looks cheap.

I would rather they try something like an orange tint than that boring flat brightness. We could do a list of the best shot films.

I thought Grok and Grok Imagine doesn't allow pornographic images/videos? I tried it and it didn't work. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways, I can't get into those A.I generated porn. I don't know but the fact the subject face isn't real turns me off.

I agree with the orange tint. It looks artistic in a way. I don't know what they're thinking applying bright contrast/lighting upon a white background. It's jarring and makes my eyes squint

I have a question that has been really bugging me for a long time. IS there any logical rational for some companys, like FC2-PPV, or Sweet, or there are a bunch of others, that don't identify their actresses. That seems to be a disservice to both the actress and the consumer. Actresses live or die on repeat customers and a fan base. IF you don't identify them then you are robbing them of the opportunity to build fans. IF someone likes an actress in one of their vids they usually would like to find more videos with her in it. Not being able to do so prevents her from gaining popularity. To me it seems like an utterly moronic business model and is detrimental to both their consumer base as well as the actress herself. It is a frustrating puzzle that could be easily solved. It just makes no sense to me. Does anyone have any logical explanation for this practice?

There are more AI image generators than just Grok. More so than that, Grok functions more as a chat-bot. Of course it can do amazing image generations, but actual pornographic images (and videos) have dedication programs and set-ups dedicated to it. It's like me going to a Chinese restaurant and complaining that there just because they don't have any tomato soup that means I can't find it anywhere.

There are lots of programs (like ComfyUI, Automatic1111 (with Stable Diffusion, and a whole league of others)) for folks who have a fairly solid computer. For those who have top-end rigs, they can make movies too.

And like with anything - it's a combination of taste and style - but, not only that, technique and expertise. I thought AI image generation was like, "Meh ..." until I came across a few images that were like, "Holy shit ..."

The majority of what gets produced (and distributed) is on the level where they have three arms and fourteen fingers. Unoptimized load-outs producing doll-like plastic skin with unnatural glaring sheens. Where it doesn't have what it takes to make it to uncanny-valley territory. But then ...

You come across someone who gets everything -just right- and everything looks as if a real camera took the photo (nothing is "mass-produced" in it) - all the details are vivid, but real, and there are no "hentai highlights" happening with the lighting, it just is so ... optimal.

And then you come across the girl herself, and it's like, oh man ... Like ... I know you ain't real - and I don't care kind of amazing.

It sounds like from what you've witnessed so far, you've come across a failed music major busking some jazz on the street, and it sounds flat and boring. And while it might be tempting to say, "All jazz sucks," we both know that isn't the reality.

On some other uncensored sources/abroad video makers/ they use so called - changed names policy -
i.e. actress could not make videos under their censored porn actresses names.

Per example > in maker 0930 videos there are names changed.

From most well known actresses one could find videos from -

0930 name ------- censored movies name

Noriko Kinami - Madoka Karasuma
Yuka Tsutsui - Mai Ito
Fumiko (Ayako) Sakurai - Ayano Murasaki
Misue Okuda - Marina Matsumoto
Riko Arakaki - Hitomi Enjou
Shizuyo Maeno - Yuri Takahata

I think my criticism would be how they typecast most mature idols, especially those who return after leaving the business. How many sexy aunts, mother-in-laws, stepmothers, etc, can you watch? Why not some more adventurous or erotic roles for them? They aren't decrepit, just more mature and could handle sexier roles.

yeah Madonna just re-do the same things over and over. Attackers isn't any better these days. 99.9% actress with fake boobs and plastic work
