Have you checked that the cover images are available? It is stored in the same folder of the movies, if it is not available then the cover will be blank.
The other option is to regenerate metadata of those movies, if that's not working then insert the cover manually by using import cover image function for each movies.

You can do that by selecting the movies and then do right-click mouse - regenerate metadata. Javluv will regenerate the movies data from web.
It sometimes happened in my Javluv, if regenerate metadata don't work, I usually insert it manually.

Because of the checks Cloudflare does, there are times when metadata downloads on JavLibrary.com and other primary sites may fail because it's asking for human verification. Sometimes it helps to visit there manually and see if you can look up the ID and see if it's available. If you can reach it with your browser, in theory, JavLuv should be able to reach it (and download cover images) as well.

oh ok so for now i will just add it manually

Nearly 6,000 JAV collected now and JavLuv is invaluable. Two things I would like to see are the option to check “uncensored” just as you can for subtitled and the ability to sort and the ability to show if the JAV is part of a series. Thanks

I agree with you, this app work really well. There are many things of new feature we will always think about. I also have few idea but considering this is free, we will just gratefully accept. Thanks for this app once again TmpGuy.

So I have a weird issue. When I generate metadata I get the same cover image for all the newly scanned ones. If I click it, it shows the correct cover art different from the ones in the main screen. If I regenerate to fix that, it becomes blank both on the main screen and inside. Manually downloading cover image works but I have to do it every single time.

Maybe you can try doing rescan file for one of the movie first. If this doesn't work, maybe you need to delete the shown image (cover) from Javluv thumbnails in AppData folder. Then do a rescan again. If you want to try this, try it first with one movie only and maybe backup the Javluv AppData folder before doing any change.

Does YUJ-042 already exist in your collection? If not, make sure your browser can access JavLibrary.com, as that's the first place JavLuv looks.
No, it's brand new file. which browser are you talking about? it's the web browser (Firefox, Brave, etc...) or JAVLUV? I install using MSI files.

Updated. I figured it out what's going. I Re-fresh my window and using Talon software to remove all the bloatware from windows. It's removed everything related to Windows even with Microsoft Explored and Edge. I even tried to reinstall Edge, however it is not working for it.

What TmpGuy mean is that you must be able to open web browser (with any browser you have) to access javlibrary.com. If you can access it without any problem, Javluv should be able to fetch the data for your movie. If it is not accessible, then Javluv won't' be able to fetch the data from javlibrary.com.

Yep, that's going to screw things up. Those are required Windows components. JavLuv uses built-in Edge components available to Windows app in order to create and use an internal browser window. I used to just parse the HTML, but sites started using CloudFlare protection which uses Javascript and redirection techniques to make automated scraping more difficult.

Personally, I tend to avoid third-party software that screws around with Windows internals. Invariably it just means more issues for the price of whatever you gain. That's your call to make, of course.

That was what I meant, but JavLuv does create its own browser instance using Windows internal Edge browser components. If some third party software removed that as "bloatware", its also removing the shared components JavLuv uses.

i dont know how to search by (genres)

can you give me some trick to do this
Tricky question to answer. IF the created .nfo file, which is usually copied from somewhere else, contains the relevant genre, the a search for that genere will revell all videos that have correcctly coded .nfo files. There is the problem. The nfo files do not always ahve the correct descriptions in the genre description. Just as an example I have seen tons of times where in the genre section they had someting like, 'blowjoy, cute girls, family, tennis'. Whomever edited that nfo file originally must have thought that these particular details were important to note. However this very same file iis full of all kinds of Gokkun scenes, Swallowing, and perhaps a gangbang. IF I do a search on Javluv, letss say for swallowing, I will not find this because it is not specifically detailed in any of the important places, the File Name, file description, or the .nfo file. The solution: always pay attention to the genre section of a file's info. Update it as needed. If I see 'cute girl' or 'big tits' or 'mature', whatever it is, I don't care about those details and so I remove them from the genre details. I will never go searchng for big tits. ON the other hand if I am looking at the genre info for a file that I know has a lot of swallowing scenes, Take a shot in the dark what I would add to my genre details?
This may be a more involved process but the problem is that the person who created the original referance nfo has no idea what is important to you, or me and it would be impossible to tailor every single .nfo file to include each possible search word that would be relevant. They have to generalize, choose a few relevant genre details, Sometimes they are 100% wrong in the way the code the genre data. For instance I have seen a few where they added "scatology" to the genre and THat is a subject that revolts me, I would NEVER want to see that material but notwithstanding the genre entry I know/knew categorically that there was no scatology in that video. So ultimately the .nfo files are very fallible and it is, sadly , up to you to edit them according to your own preferance.
