Yes, I was talking about crpd-181. I went with r00 because of an error my unrar software gave me when I was trying to figure out what to do. I'm on a linux system so the software you gave didn't work. In fact I'd never heard of multipar software before. I figured I'd post my solution for others in the same situation as me.

I see, I didn't think to mention linux users. For linux, you'd need par2cmdline(multipar is a GUI of it for the windows version). It's mostly used on usenet so if you don't dl from there, there's a good chance you wouldn't know about it. Not sure if there's a GUI for it in linux though since I've only ever used it from command line on *nix/*BSD.
.rar, .r00 ... should also work fine in linux(with the unrar software at least since I use it all the time). In command line, you'd do(the final / is very important if you specify a folder): unrar x filename.rar path_to_extract_it_to/
