Plot:
Japan in the times of war among the clans, a master samurai Gessai raises ten orphans in the mountains, one of them a girl named Azumi, they become experts in martial arts. As teenagers, the master assigns them to a mortal test, and the remaining five survivors who pass this test, then travel with him on a quest to kill three powerful evil clan warlords and to keep their nation united without plunging it into a bloody war.
