In Tokyo there is still a supply shortage. Most combini's are sold out of their stock by about 1pm in the afternoon and are not re-stocked until late at night. People are going about their lives as usual but there are certainly less people here and it's very noticeable. I am switching my work visa to another visa and at the Shinagawa immigration office, there was MAYBE 20 people waiting here and there compared the usual 300 or so spread out across the 2nd floor.
