A heroic prince must rescue a beautiful, sleeping princess from wicked mice in this enchanting animated fairy tale featuring music by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and the voices of Melissa Gilbert, Roddy McDowell, and Christopher Lee. A young girl, Clara, dreams of romance and adventure in a kingdom inhabited by a princess who has been changed into a sleeping mouse. An army of evil mice have stolen her heart, and only a handsome prince can release her from their evil spell. The actors in this festive fantasy are elaborately sculpted dolls, whose movements were filmed one frame at a time. Narrated by Michele Lee, this full-length puppet musical is a delight for all ages.
