The film version of Hokuto no Ken was released theatrically in Japan on March 8, 1986, followed by a VHS release in 1988 and a Laserdisc version in 1995. The initial home video versions of Hokuto no Ken featured a revised ending from the original theatrical version. In the theatrical version, Raoh wins the fight against Kenshiro, but spares his life at the end. In the revised ending, the final battle ends in a stalemate. An HD remastered version of the film was released on DVD on November 21, 2008. The remastered DVD features both versions of the ending, as well the English dub version of the film produced by Streamline. [Wikipedia]
