Synopsis:
This thrilling story shows spears, swords, conspiracy, love and tears through the friendship between a ronin (Konoe Jushiro) whose whole life was dedicated to mastering the spear and a passionate young nobleman (Satomi Kotaro). During the reign of Shogun Yoshimune there was a ronin named Fuwa Mondo teaching the spear at the Shindo Munen dojo.
One day Mondo chastised a girl dressed like a man after she had splashed water on a young boy. The girl, Suzue, was the younger sister of Ino Yuya, a member of Sword Guard Sound Team led by the Shogun's second son, and her shame was felt by the entire team. Even though they tried to retaliate, none were the match of Mondo's great skill.
One night, on the way home from enjoying night time cherry blossoms on Atago Mountain, Mondo saved Suzue from being attacked by a group of masked men. To thank him, Gennosuke invited Mondo to Edo Castle. What happens next must be seen to be believed! This movie is loaded with great spear fighting.
