Storyline: apan's 70's come alive again in Kaseki no Mori!
Himoto Haruo works at a university hospital pursuing his major degree in medicine. However, his life at the campus is not as great as it could be because he can't stand the department's professor Mr. Miyaji. Otherwise things look much better for Haruo who enjoys an intimate affair with former high school class mate Hideko that now makes a living as hair stylist. While, Haruo tries everything to succeed as a student and paramour, his mother Tatsuko has high hopes for her son to move back home soon…
Ken'ichi Hagiwara ( Le Rendez-vous) offers another impressive performance in this touching tale about a rebellious teenager. Based on a best-selling novel by Ishihara Shintaro, Kaseki no Mori ("The Forest of Fossils" a.k.a. The Petrified Forest) by film veteran Masahiro Shinoda offers lovers of Japanese classics memorable cinema entertainment.
